Isn't this a character book everyone is talking about? If not, im sorry to dissapoint you, I said, I'm not a HP person.

No that's the set guide. The character book will be strictly mini-figure oriented. Still not a bad price.

Tomorrow is the London Toy Fair, and 'Huw' from Brickset will be at the LEGO booth. I guess we'll find out if HP will be discontinued.:sing:

For the first time, I don't want to find out about the new sets!

I didn't hear anything in the reports I read. Doesn't mean it's retired though, just means that there wasn't anything at London Toy Fair. But honestly, since LOTR was announced, I've given up hope. Neither can live while the other survives (in LEGO).

Suggested on Brickset that Harry Potter along with PoTC and Alien Conquest will "Exit" in July

Just pointing it out... But still, I've lost hope. :cry_sad:

I think it has gone, I'm not a Pottermore tester so I'm not sure all that it entails but it would have to be a cartoon or 3d re-releases to bring it back now. I better buy my Knight Bus before it cots £80 on ebay......

I agree, but suggested doesn't mean the same thing as confirmed.

I wonder if Harry Potter and Pirates is something that they may have an option to renew and just put them on mini hiatuses

I never really got into the Potter bricks, but I did pick up Diagon Alley because I really liked the buildings and bricks that came with it.

Solid set with a ton of minis and some really cool owls. Hoot-hoot!

An amazing set, bought in a charity shop and currently awaiting replacement sticker sheet from Lego :sweet:

Went to TRU today. They had all 3 last wave plus 4842. Where last week, they had hardly ANY LEGO, period. That means HP is still being shipped to stores. Maybe some hope lives.

If you mean hope for new sets, then I'm sorry to disappoint. Reports from the London Toy Fair state that the line will end in July.

So it's time to say farewell to HP :cry_sad: On the one hand I'm sad to see the theme end (and probably for good this time) but on the other hand we had a great HP year in 2011, didn't we  We got a great final film to conclude the franchise (I know there's Pottermore, but still), an awesome videogame, 3 cool regular sets with long-awaited redesigns and a couple of new minifigs and to top it all off, one of the best D2C sets ever released, Diagon Alley  I know that we're still missing a few important characters and we didn't get any Ravenclaw/Hufflepuff torsos (yet again  ), but I'm still happy with what we've got. :sweet:

I don't get it... what's the book being released? Didn't we just get one with the HP minifig?

The new book will focus on the characters only, where last year's focused on the sets with only a couple of pages dedicated to the minifigures.

My woman and I are using the buildings as a base, adding on and creating our own to forge a "Red Light District" for our Lego town. These buildings double as excellent brothels, honky-tonks, whorehouses, casinos, bordellos, dice joints, dens of iniquity, strip clubs, and massage parlors.

*Hides kids eyes* lol

You are so right though, Diagon alley has that Dickensian seedy feel however it is portrayed or realised. Just don't let Hermione up on that pole.........

Bought the Burrow(again), Hogwarts add on and the Knight bus today. So farewell Harry Potter I'v got all I need now.......

The hardest part has been making the minifig hookers. I have lots of faces and hairpieces that work, but not much very provocative lower bodies.

Does anyone know anything about Pottermore? How to join? or when it will be opening for new members?

Perhaps you should see if there's a Harry Potter thread in Community that might have answers or ask it in the HP discussion there. This thread is for set or Lego theme discussion.

I think it may just be referring to the summer 2011 wave. Especially since they mentioned Alien Conquest, which I thought they decided to give it the axe a while ago. :look:

But, really, only time will tell.

EDIT: 500th Post! I'm a knight! Yes!
