Tontus Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 I'm working on the Black Pearl in LDD and one of the steps shows putting 2 PotC style swords and a fish in a 2x2 barrel. I had a hard enough time getting the fish and 1 sword in there, so I'm wondering if that 2nd sword is possible. In real life I squeezed 5 swords in the barrel with the fish. Quote
Calabar Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Could you provide a screenshot (and if possible a photo of what you can achieve with real bricks)? If it should be a bug of LDD I'll move this post joining it to the topic created to report LDD bugs. Quote

Bricksandparts Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Soon I think I'll make a guide for LDD users for how to get things where you want them to go. Quote
Tontus Posted December 14, 2011 Author Posted December 14, 2011 Wow, impressive bbqqq. Was that done entirely in LDD? I'm pretty good coming up with rigs to move things around, but after the fish and the first sword I didn't see room for a second. Thanks, and also how long did you spend moving things around? Quote

You can do this within 10 minutes. First, rotate the fish and swords with two holders to desire pose. Then move them in place with move tool import from templates. (move 1 of 3 x,y,z axles together with your object, minimal moving unit = 0.1 stud) LDDScreenShot115 by Nachapon S., on Flickr Example of a more complicate move tool. (no more 0.1 stud step limit, can be use for fine tune) LDDScreenShot117 by Nachapon S., on Flickr Edited December 14, 2011 by bbqqq Quote
