Fred Daniel Yam Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 "Alright, I will start work on my Volleyer, could you please help Xander."
Capt.JohnPaul Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 As I assume it is late into the day: The young knight is tired from working all day in armor. Though the fellow heroes sense something like a plan in his mind. They were disappointed when they realized they would have to wait for tomorrow. "I'm going to get a drink of water. It's hot out here." Alexandre sleepishly walks to the well.
Brickdoctor Posted December 22, 2011 Author Posted December 22, 2011 OOC: It was my Avalonia Siege Master entry, sorry if I can't find an image, I'm on my phone. QM Note:Oh, I remember. That's a little too complicated to realistically build, I think. "I'll try using Garnet to dig holes." You expend 1 Ether to dig the large hole in front of the West Wall. There's no immediate effect. Dharkan Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 "Well if you guys are dealing with siege weapon I'll get started for making the tripwire."
Flipz Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 OOC: Can we still talk to each other IC when we're "exhausted"?
Brickdoctor Posted December 23, 2011 Author Posted December 23, 2011 "Well if you guys are dealing with siege weapon I'll get started for making the tripwire." You take one of the pieces of rope and prepare it for use as a tripwire. You just need the two heroes holding the Fire Bombs to support this plan. OOC: Can we still talk to each other IC when we're "exhausted"? QM Note:Of course.
Fred Daniel Yam Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 "I'll help with the tripwire." OOC: What if just make the firing mechanism?
Brickdoctor Posted December 23, 2011 Author Posted December 23, 2011 OOC: What if just make the firing mechanism? QM Note:For the volleyer? No, I still think it's too complicated for you to build from scratch without tools in this quest.
posades Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Xander makes his way over to Isabella, handing over his Fire Bomb. He then heads upstairs to aid William in the building of the siege weapon.
Fred Daniel Yam Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 "Alright Xander, we don't have the time or the tools to make a Brickdocton Trebuchet. So we can only make a simple catapult, I need two big wooden A-Frames and a long wooden beam."
Brickdoctor Posted December 23, 2011 Author Posted December 23, 2011 "Alright Xander, we don't have the time or the tools to make a Brickdocton Trebuchet. So we can only make a simple catapult, I need two big wooden A-Frames and a long wooden beam." You realize that if you want Xander to bring you the pieces of wood, you will need to specify where to find those pieces. You also realize that logs and beams are not interchangeable.
Fred Daniel Yam Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Can we not use the wood from the forest and nail them together with the nails and Xander's hammer for the A-frames? I fire an arrow at a log and put out the fire after it has burnt out half of the log.
Brickdoctor Posted December 23, 2011 Author Posted December 23, 2011 Can we not use the wood from the forest and nail them together with the nails and Xander's hammer for the A-frames? I fire an arrow at a log and put out the fire after it has burnt out half of the log. QM Note:I was trying to avoid an infinite supply of wood, but, for simplicity's sake, okay. William and Xander, you assemble two A-frames of wood about three studs high. (which, you realize, is a reasonable height for a simple catapult that you need to lift to the top of a tower) Xander, you also find a taller tree and fell it for use as the long beam.
Flipz Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 OOC: I thought they were bringing the wood to the top of the tower and assembling it there?
Fred Daniel Yam Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 "Alright, I'll take an A-frame and you can carry the beam if you're strong enough Xander."
K-Nut Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 OOC: I'll be gone again today and possibly tomorrow, so if Posades isn't around, VolcanicPanik is in charge again.
Capt.JohnPaul Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Since Alex was exhausted and couldn't really do anything else, he brings water from the well for the others to drink. He wonders how many hours of daylight are left.
Brickdoctor Posted December 23, 2011 Author Posted December 23, 2011 Since Alex was exhausted and couldn't really do anything else, he brings water from the well for the others to drink. He wonders how many hours of daylight are left. You recall that the day will last until god decides that everyone has realistically done enough to be exhausted.
posades Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 "Alright, I'll take an A-frame and you can carry the beam if you're strong enough Xander." Xander follows a few paces behind William, carrying the long beam on his broad shoulder.
Fred Daniel Yam Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 "Ok, I'll go back down and take the second A-frame. Then we can start the assembly."
Flipz Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 "Ok, I'll go back down and take the second A-frame. Then we can start the assembly." Arthur follows the other up to the top of the tower. He opens his mouth to give instructions, but he's still tired from pounding in the stakes. In retrospect, perhaps he should have used magic to secure the stakes instead of whacking them with his snake staff. Still, he geives what advice he can in between gasps and wheezes. "You should...*cough*...three blocks...*gasp*...Etho...*wheeze*...lapis...*gasp*...split beam at the top...*cough*...extra slings...*wheeze*...later, from cloaks...*gasp* fallen elves." OOC: Arthur is most definitely a wizard of the "squishy" variety.
Fred Daniel Yam Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 William shouts at Isabella from his position up high, "Toboso, go grab Alex and start lining straw along the fort but start at the weakest walls." William then runs off to the armoury to get the crate of hollowed out balls. "Xander! Place the A-Frames next to each other upright and put the beam inbetween them."

OOC: I think we better wait for Doc to see if we are done with tripwire before going to doing what you said. :D "Our hands are kinda full, can't you wait a little bit?"
Fred Daniel Yam Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 "Ok then, Spag, you do the straw." OOC: Some clarity Doc?
Kenghis Ghan Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 "Oh, sure, yeah, if you really think straw is gonna stop these bloodthirsty goons!"
