A moment after William finishes his speech, Arthur shoves him out of the way. "Listen up, Lion Knights! We be outnumbered and outgunned. This fight shall be tough. Now, I'm thinkin' many of y'all might be bein' afraid. I've been afraid before. I was scared of heights. But I had lots of adventures and learned heights aren't so scary. Elves aren't scary either! Look at Althior's girlfriend Alexis...well, y'all can't see her now, but she's freindly and clever, and Althior apparently thinks she's hot. And we have a secret weapon! We're brave! Don't worry if you fail. Y'all get to roll again. And makes sure y'all take the +2 flanking manoeuvre whenever y'all have initiative! If an elf attacks ya, take an immediate feint and counter-strike action, because that gives ya +1 to hit without sacrificing y'all's next turn's defence bonus."

Anyway, he says Sally's speech REALLY encouraged the troops. 'Course, then again, they were betrayed by one of their own generals, and the destruction of their moon ruined their plan, and one of the Heroes died in the battle...wait, can the soldiers still hear us???"

QM Note:

As you were told when you first me Sir Lawrence, it takes one Turn per level, tower or wall. (so moving from a wall to an adjacent tower is one Turn, and moving from the third floor to the second floor is also one Turn; I believe it was mentioned before that there are only stairs and ladders in the towers, also)

No, you can't ride horses.

QM Note:

I assume you want the melee units on the ground floor? A Knight at the top of a tower won't do much good. :laugh:

And Rangers on the second floor of towers not adjacent to the West Wall, so they can still fire and not have to move down a level to move to another spot?

Arthur heads for the catapult, but at the last minute steps back. "This thing doesn't look cool enough, it needs some decoration." He pulls out his opal and adds a layer of ice spikes to the launch arm (0 Ether, no effect on catapult). "OK, now it's ready. :grin:"

Arasmyth jolts awake as Althior assigns him a position on the walls for the battle. "Sorry, mate, Arthur's speech really sucked the vigor out of me. I'll head on over to the North Wall like you said, post-haste."

"I swear, any of you that ask if I taste good with gravy again'll be 'defending' the castle from inside that catapult barrel, got it!?"

"Alright!" Althior screamed, "I want one more Pikeman at the South West wall and a Crossbowmen at the South West tower! If we die tonight, we die with dignity. If one of us is lost I want three of them taken down! Got it? Let's move!" Althior's whole body shook. The war had come, and what about Alexis? What would she do if he never came back? If he neer got to go and see her loving face again? He wouldn't allow that to happen. He couldn't.

OOC: Just checking to make sure I have the logistics down right; since I'm at the southeast wall, will it take me 2 rounds to attack the elves?

Xander notices commotion coming from the west wall; gripping the handle on his club and clenching his teeth, he realizes the battle has begun. Turning to leave towards the west wall, he hears a voice call out to him from the far end of the castle. Finnegan arrives out of breath, relaying a message from Althior. Nodding his head while tacitly acknowledging the contents of the message to Finnegan, Xander races to the west wall to help his fellow heroes in battle.

QM Note:

It will take 3 Turns to move to a position from which you can attack, so you would be able to attack on the fourth Turn. (passing through the South Tower, South-West Wall, and South-West Tower) Preparation is crucial in this Quest!

Alex was dozing off to sleep when he hears cries of, "The elves are coming! The elves are coming!" With a jump, he straightens his helmet and takes aim, he shoots the Brobric Elven Archer from the back row (?)
