Brickdoctor Posted January 9, 2012 Author Posted January 9, 2012 OOC: How do I use the catapult? QM Note:You and Isabella agree on a target. You can also decide what kind of ammunition to fire. (right now you've brought stones to the top of the tower, so you may fire one large stone, multiple smaller stones, or something from your inventory or something that would realistically be close by to be fired, such as a piece of wood) Since Dharkan has stated that he will not be participating in this Round, you can make those decisions yourself.
Flipz Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Arthur (and Isabella) attack the Brobric Scout A from the back row (unless it only works on the front row) using the catapult loaded with small stones.
K-Nut Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Althior moves down a floor, and notices there are a lot of stairs in these towers!
Flipz Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 (edited) "Damn!" Althior watched as his fellow heroes were ambushed by elves. "Finnegan!" "Eh?" "Give this to Xander, and hurry!" Battle Order: Xander Arthur Spag Arasmyth Isabella "Sure!" Finnegan raced down the stairs, but somehow tripped over a mouse, and went tumbling to the ground. "It's going to be a loong night..." OOC: Shouldn't Isabella and Arthur be listed together in the order, at least while we're using the catapult? (Doc, for this round, can we assume that Isabella moves up to Arthur's spot in the battle order?) Edited January 9, 2012 by Flipz
Kadabra Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 OOC: K-nut, aren't I unable to attack? Or do you want me to move towards the battle?

K-Nut Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 OOC: K-nut, aren't I unable to attack? Or do you want me to move towards the battle? OOC: Sorry. Fixed now. Althior, about to head downstairs, stops himself and thinks, he decides instead to head to the North Wall. "Arasmyth! Stay there in case any elves come to attack us from over here,"
Brickdoctor Posted January 9, 2012 Author Posted January 9, 2012 Althior, about to head downstairs, stops himself and thinks, he decides instead to head to the North Wall. "Arasmyth! Stay there in case any elves come to attack us from over here," QM Note:You're on the Third Floor. You have to go down to the Second Floor first. (or you could jump)
K-Nut Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 QM Note: You're on the Third Floor. You have to go down to the Second Floor first. (or you could jump) "Uhmm, I don't think Alexis would be too happy with that... Fine QM! I'll head to the second floor!"
Brickdoctor Posted January 10, 2012 Author Posted January 10, 2012 QM Note: It's been more than twenty-four hours and volcanicpanik hasn't posted, so I'll choose his action for him. I believe he is close enough to the battle that the best move for him would be to stay put. "Uhmm, I don't think Alexis would be too happy with that... Fine QM! I'll head to the second floor!" QM Note:There are creative ways to get down safely. For example, you could have spent 1 Ether to create a gust of wind with your Sapphire that would blow upwards and create a soft landing on the North Wall. You watch as the first wave of elves attacks from the forest. As they reach the treeline, the night sky is ripped apart by an explosion as the two Fire Bombs are triggered. All enemies lose 10 Health, and the forest catches on fire. Xander, you move to the South Tower. Arthur and Isabella, you load the catapult with small stones and fire. The stones spread out into a cloud, striking every one of your enemies. 2 Damage is dealt to your target and 1 Damage is dealt to the rest of the enemies. Spag, you consume a bottle of Mead, which bestows upon you the Encouraged effect. Alexandre, you Aim carefully at your target, and the resulting shot grazes the elven archer for 1 Damage. You move down to the Second Floor of the North-East Tower, Althior, while you two hold your positions, Arasmyth and William. The burning forest causes an additional 1 Damage to all combatants outside the fort, which, right now, consist only of elves. In the light of the dancing flames, the battle continues... Flipz Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Arthur spots Finnegan...apparently playing with a rubber duck. " I don't even want to know. Listen, if Isabella agrees with me, we're going to Attack Scout A again. Ask Althior if we should use a large stone or if we should use small stones again."
K-Nut Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Arthur spots Finnegan...apparently playing with a rubber duck. "Ducky!" "Hee, hee..." Althior continues his run towards the West Wall, crossing the North Wall next. "About how long until the flames reach the fort, do you think?" Same Battle Order
Brickdoctor Posted January 10, 2012 Author Posted January 10, 2012 "About how long until the flames reach the fort, do you think?" "Perhaps 2 Rounds."
Flipz Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 "D'arvit! Looks like Finnegan's going to be no use for advice. Alright, Isabella, let's go with another round of small stones on Scout A, between the stones and the fire we can wear these guys down so the others can take them out." Arthur runs up to Finnegan and encases the duck in ice. "Listen up! Tell Althior I'll handle the fire on the round when it would otherwise damage the fort, so he should save his Ether." Arthur suddenly remembers the cup full of nails he scooped into his goblet. While he readies the catapult, he wonders if it would make good ammunition, and if it would be any more damaging than the small stones he has been using.
Kenghis Ghan Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 "Woo-hoo! That's the stuff! Now, time to go get those pointy-eared bastards!" Spag then procedes to move to whatever wall it was that the elves were attacking at.
Capt.JohnPaul Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Alex reloads, and aims for the Elf Archer again from the back row. He looks concerned at the closing in flames, but casts aside his doubt aside, the fort's stone.
K-Nut Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 "Perhaps 2 Rounds." "And then how much longer after that until the fort is breached?" Althior gets a crazy, yet plausible idea. He stops dead in his tracks, focuses his energy on his Aquamarine, and expends as much Ether as needed to move water from the river to the forest. "God, this better work..."
Brickdoctor Posted January 10, 2012 Author Posted January 10, 2012 "And then how much longer after that until the fort is breached?" "Who knows? This fort was built during the Orcish Invasion. We have little knowledge of the strength of its walls."
K-Nut Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 "Who knows? This fort was built during the Orcish Invasion. We have little knowledge of the strength of its walls." "Then how come the strengths of the walls are written clearly on the map? Wait, I need to get back to my focused spell!" Althior then groans like a constipated pig, focusing on his spell.
Brickdoctor Posted January 10, 2012 Author Posted January 10, 2012 "Then how come the strengths of the walls are written clearly on the map? QM Note:I know that was meant as a joke, but I'm going to answer it anyways. In-universe, your character doesn't know of the Health of the walls. They're just there so that you, the player, know that I'm not just deciding on a whim when a wall's had enough and comes crashing down.
Flipz Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Arthur feels a sudden rush...someone is channeling Ether. "D'arvit..." He quickly scoops out most of the small stones and replaces them with a large stone, still aimed at Scout A. "We can't wear them down one point at a time, the fire is a critical part of that." Once again he wonders if the nails he had scooped into his goblet would do any more damage than small stones, and what kind of damage a large stone would do.
Brickdoctor Posted January 10, 2012 Author Posted January 10, 2012 Once again he wonders if the nails he had scooped into his goblet would do any more damage than small stones, and what kind of damage a large stone would do. QM Note:Since it's emboldened, I assume you want to perform that action. You won't know if you don't try.
Flipz Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Arthur removes the large stone and puts the nails (but NOT the goblet) into the catapult, still aimed at the same target.
