Capt.JohnPaul Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Xander notices from the corner of his eye that Alex has his aim towards the elven archer. "Alex, I will take care of the archer and his grappling hook; you should take aim at one of the other targets so they will not have a free hit on me," Xander exclaims from the ground. He then readies an attack on the Brobric Elven Archer from the front row. "Oh. Yes sir!" Alex takes aim from the back row at the Brobric Elven Scout B. He holds his breath for a +3 bonus on the dice roll.
Flipz Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 (edited) "Oh. Yes sir!" Alex takes aim from the back row at the Brobric Elven Scout B. He holds his breath for a +3 bonus on the dice roll. "Erm...I don't think you have initiative, unless Althior puts you at the front of the Party Order. Besides, you only get the +1 feint and counter-strike if the Elf makes the first move, and since we have the high ground..." EDIT: OOC: Put in quotes. D'oh! Also, can we assume same battle order this round? Edited January 12, 2012 by Flipz
posades Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 (edited) Arthur growls; why is it that he and Isabella can only hit with their weakest ammunition? Calling out as loudly as he can, he yells to Xander, "Xander! The archer can't use a grappling hook on a Free Hit! Everyone target the other Elves, we'll deal with him later." Arthur yells to Spag as he passes, "Spag, grab a torch from the wall to burn that rope!" Seeing that the others were waiting for him, he again loads the catapult with small stones and works with Isabella to change their target to the Scout B. Is getting rid of the grappling hook merely someone cutting it/burning it/etc. or does the archer need to die? If someone can just burn it then I'll change my target to the scout. If someone can just burn it then I'll change my target to the scout. QM Note:Cutting and burning will get rid of the current rope, but the elf can always shoot up another one. Killing the elf will prevent him from shooting more up, but won't get rid of the current rope.

Killing the elf will prevent him from shooting more up, but won't get rid of the current rope. Will burning the rope require a turn? If it does, then I'll go ahead and still target the archer unless someone is direly against it.

Flipz Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 QM Note: Yes, it will. OOC: Psst...everyone's sent in an action (Arasmyth and William are doing nothing, and Isabella's targeting the catapult with me).
K-Nut Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 OOC: Psst...everyone's sent in an action (Arasmyth and William are doing nothing, and Isabella's targeting the catapult with me). OOC: Remember Arasmyth can still attack from the tower.
Flipz Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 OOC: Remember Arasmyth can still attack from the tower. Arasmyth grins in satisfaction as the screaming elf falls to his doom. The battle was heating up now - he saw Althior rush past him towards the North Tower. He smiled grimly at the Party Leader and held his position in anticipation of more attacks.
posades Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 "We should not waste the opportunity to attack the foe while we can; Arasmyth, I would suggest you target an elf. And do you think one of Alex or the catapult should target someone other than Scout B to hit more enemies?"
Brickdoctor Posted January 12, 2012 Author Posted January 12, 2012 QM Note: I'll be a nice QM and assume that Arasmyth is targeting the one elf he can attack. (Brobric Scout A scaled the wall last Round) Results of Round Four of the Battle for Bric'Bay Fort: Xander Unth'or vs. Brobric Elven Archer - Hit >Arthur Justus Regulus VII and Isabella del Toboso (Catapult) vs. Brobric Scout B - Critical Hit (Hit) Spag Bitterstalk moves to the North-West Tower. >Alexandre le Chevalier vs. Brobric Scout B - Hit Althior Emorith moves to the North Wall. Arasmyth RuGard vs. Brobric Scout A - Damage William Harkenshire does nothing. All Free Hits fail as all non-targeted enemies have melee weapons, not ranged weapons. With the elves weakening, Xander, you charge out of the fort, slamming your hammer into the archer's chest for 18 Damage and sending him flying into the trees whence he came. The elves break formation to deal with this new threat, so, Arthur and Isabella, you fire more stones into their midst. Once again, you deal 2 Damage to your target and 1 Damage to all the other elves on the ground. Eager to join the battle, Spag, you reach the North-West Tower, ready to attack on your next Turn. Alexandre, you finally find your mark, firing an arrow into the arm of Scout B at 2 Damage. Arasmyth, your spell ineffectively flies into the stone wall, but Althior, you run out onto the wall to join him, ready to attack. William, you hold your position as your eyelids begin to droop. Another elf moves towards the rope, and the battle continues... Flipz Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 "HELP! Someone zap this guy, and we'll join you next Round!" Arthur grabs one of the larger stones and targets the mounted Scout.
posades Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Xander clenches his club, satisfied with the previous round. Noticing the Mounted Brobric Elven Scout in the near distance, he focuses an attack on it from the front row.
Kenghis Ghan Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Spag attacks Brobric Scout A with his awesome-against-mounted-units halberd.

Capt.JohnPaul Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Woot! Woot! I knew that +3 bonus would work. The gallant knight aims for Brobic Scout B from the back row.
