Brickdoctor Posted January 16, 2012 Author Posted January 16, 2012 OOC: speaking of moving between waves, will our actions be played in rounds (i.e. it takes a certain number of Rounds to get from place to place and we only have so many Rounds between waves), or will it be more along the lines of "I'll let you get away with a reasonable amount of stuff before the Elves return"? Also, is this an OK color for OOC? I'm trying to find one that's reasonably easy to read but not too distracting. QM Note:I let you get away with a reasonable amount of stuff. More freedom to think outside the box that way. It's a good color.
Brickdoctor Posted January 16, 2012 Author Posted January 16, 2012 Results of Round Five of the Battle for Bric'Bay Fort: William Harkenshire does nothing. Xander Unth'or moves to West Wall. >Arthur Justus Regulus VII and Isabella del Toboso (Catapult) vs. Mounted Brobric Scout - Shield (Hit) >Arasmyth RuGard vs. Brobric Scout A - Miss >Althior Emorith vs. Mounted Brobric Scout - Hit Spag Bitterstalk vs. Mounted Brobric Scout Brobric Scout A - Critical Hit Alexandre le Chevalier moves to the North-West Tower. The fifth Round begins as Xander, you move towards the action while, William, you hold your position. Arthur and Isabella, you load the catapult one more time and fire off a Hit. Your large stone comes down and deals a crushing (no pun intended) blow to the Mounted Scout, which receives 5 Damage. Arasmyth, you miss your target, but Althior, you stand firm and score a Hit on the Mounted Scout, bringing him down at 38 Darkness Elemental Damage. Spag, seeing your original target vanish is a blast of dark magic, you charge up the stairs instead and spear Scout A for 6 Damage, ending the battle as, Alexandre, you charge in just in time to see the last elf topple. THE BATTLE IS VICTORIOUS! All party members gain a Level of XP, except for Althior, who gains half a Level, so update your signatures accordingly. The enemies drop 1 Telescope and 1 Horse. K-Nut Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Althior smiles, seeing himself in one piece. He then looks to his team. "Alright, everyone hold their horses. I believe that Arthur should keep this nice telescope, after I look for any elves approaching with it. I still want the same positions for our dear soldiers, unless anyone has any objections. I'll also hit Spag and Arthur with my healing staff and give the horse to the remaining scout as well." He looked out from the wall, seeing the corpses of the elves lying motionless in the grass. He had become a killing machine, and it had been what Abraxas had wanted.

"Sir Althior," he starts, "next round, should I position myself on the Wooden Look-out post on the South-West tower? Fred Daniel Yam Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 "Alright, I have a plan. Toboso, take off your clothes and while you distract the elves, we'll kill them."
Dharkan Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 "Oh, ermm, I think Elves have different perspective about beauty, they wouldn't like a puny human like me."
Kadabra Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 OOC: Sorry for missing the last couple rounds of the battle, was at the funeral. Should've left a reminder. IC: "I'll stay where I am, if that's OK with you, Althior.

I let you get away with a reasonable amount of stuff during the time between battles. You're no longer confined to the movement rules. Go improve the fort. You try to change the color of your hair, but, unfortunately, it would appear that the Lion Knights are fresh out of Henna Rinse.QM Note:
Dharkan Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 OOC: No no I mean when we are back in hall! :D But I don't mind doing here if they have a such service. :P
Capt.JohnPaul Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Should we prepare the boiling oil and place them at certain points where the elves would climb up? We could cause some nice Fire Damage. Or we could rig some more fire bombs.
K-Nut Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Should we prepare the boiling oil and place them at certain points where the elves would climb up? We could cause some nice Fire Damage. Or we could rig some more fire bombs. "Please no! I wasn't a real fan of how I put out the last fire we made." Althior doubles over and vomits over the side of the wall, obviously that Dragon's blood had done something to him. Noting major, but he may be puking a while. "I say we focus on the West Wall again, seeing as this time the elves might bring some siege weapons. I also believed I looked through the Telescope before handing it to Arthur." Althior then doubles over and pukes once again over the wall.
Capt.JohnPaul Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 "Please no! Ok, just an idea, as the bombs may damage or even completely destroy some of their siege equipment.
posades Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 "Perhaps if we spot with the telescope a siege weapon approaching we could send out a team to intercept it?"
Brickdoctor Posted January 17, 2012 Author Posted January 17, 2012 I also believed I looked through the Telescope before handing it to Arthur." You peer through the telescope at the surrounding area, but you don't spot any elves...yet.

Flipz Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 "OK, guys, let's find some saltpeter if we can, as well as sulphur and charcoal. In the meantime, I'm giving everyone in the party a torch for burning ropes and ladders. Now, I'm going downstairs to ask the cook if he's got the boiling oil and water ready, as well as to make more fire bombs. Althior, I think if you ready a Water spell for the same round the fire bombs go off, you should be able to put out the fire before it gets too big so you'll keep the damage to a minimum."

Or the important question is do we have time for that much of a repair on fort defense?" They did have cement, since Roman times in fact. "OK, guys, let's find some saltpeter if we can, as well as sulphur and charcoal. In the meantime, I'm giving everyone in the party a torch for burning ropes and ladders. Wait.... why did we need saltpeter and charcoal and sulfur? Anyways, that should be easy. For the sulfur, we just need eggs.
K-Nut Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Althior, I think if you ready a Water spell for the same round the fire bombs go off, you should be able to put out the fire before it gets too big so you'll keep the damage to a minimum. "Yeah, but last time I drained all of my Ether doing that. Uh oh..." Althior puked. "Uh oh, could someone get a towel?"
