Kadabra Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 OOC: I'm back, but I'm almost more interested in what Flipz does with Arasmyth than rejoining the game... I do have some horrible terrible cheesy great Wind and Lightning puns, though.
Fred Daniel Yam Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 "I know Arasmyth, your puns are shocking!"
Kadabra Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 "I know Arasmyth, your puns are shocking!" "They'll blow you away!"
Flipz Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 OOC: Don't waste all your good stuff now! We still have at least two more waves!
Brickdoctor Posted February 23, 2012 Author Posted February 23, 2012 QM Note: Realize that when I do unveil the Hurricane, any puns you've already used won't be counted towards any battle bonuses.
Kadabra Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 QM Note: Realize that when I do unveil the Hurricane, any puns you've already used won't be counted towards any battle bonuses. Dangit!
Fred Daniel Yam Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 "I have an idea! With the water in the lake and dirt from the ground, we can make a defensive wall of mud bricks!"
Brickdoctor Posted February 24, 2012 Author Posted February 24, 2012 Arasmyth, you cook up Arthur's concoction and fill a cup with the pinkish liquid. Hurricane - This exotic drink grants the Hilariously and Luckily Drunk effect, doubling the power of every attack, provided the consumer can state a pun related to his attack with every attack. QM Note: I have no idea where you got ice cubes from, but it looked better that way. "Sirs, Sir Lawrence has requested that you report to the gatehouse immediately." "Ah, here they are! Heroes, these are two members of Sir Leonard's staff: Luke, his personal cleric with knowledge of the arcane and the divine who, ironically, is an elf, and Count Lewis Knyghton, his chief engineer and Siege Master." "Sir Leonard is most impressed with the progress you've made defending this fort, especially the inventive machines you've built. I can help you with that. Let me show you some tweaks you could make..." Arthur Justus Regulus VII (Flipz) and Alexandre le Chevalier (Capt.JohnPaul) have each gained a Level of XP for their work constructing defenses! "I don't see how anyone can be as excited as Count Knyghton is just to be in the middle of a war zone, but Sir Leonard has ordered me to assist you. Evidently, warriors such as yourself with a knack for getting beaten and bruised will require my services." Luke and Count Knyghton have joined the party! (example statement of action: "Hiyaaaaaa Hwacha targets enemies in front of the East Wall") Explosive arrows have a 50% chance per target of exploding violently and imparting a Burning effect, causing the target to lose 2 Health per Round until the fire is extinguished. Note: The Hiyaaaaaa Hwacha must take a Turn after each attack to reload - this need can be eliminated by assigning a second Operator to the weapon. Spag Bitterstalk, Level 4 Barbarian (Kenghis Ghan) Power: 7 Health: 11/11 Gold: 5 Inventory: Crude Splinterwood Club (WP: 3), Standard-Issue Halberd (WP: 1;Total Damage doubled against mounted enemies and enemies scaling walls, Potions (2), Mead Slice N Dice Blockade Operated by Spag Level: 5/10 Health: 15/15 Ammunition: Sharpened wood Note: The Slice N Dice Blockade starts at Level 1, and gains 1 Level for every Turn a hero operates it, with a maximum possible Level of 10. If possible, the Blockade loses a Level for every Turn no one operates it. The Slice N Dice Blockade cannot move, and can only melee attack. QM Note: Wow, this party is getting big. You will need these two's talents later, though, I promise you. Luke has a very low WP because I want to emphasize that his primary use is as a healer. He's a Sage to give you a little more versatility in case you need him to attack, but he can't attack very well. The Pacifist effect will only allow him to attack with WP, not Level. (the same way heroes attack in the Arena) This effect does not affect healing. The effect is permanent. The Engineer functions the same way a Cleric does, except he can 'heal' (repair) nearby siege engines instead of other heroes. These characters may not operate siege engines.
Dharkan Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 OOC: I'm terribly sorry guys, I really didn't have time to stratch my head, had 3 birthdays in same week. Now I'm back in business again.
Capt.JohnPaul Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Hmm... Sir Lawrence looks happy, I guess he didn't discover his missing rum yet.... "Cook, do we have any eggs we could use, I have an idea for a defense that could kill all enemies!!"

K-Nut Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 OOC: What, they don't have gold? "Welcome to the party, guys! Luke, you'll need a better weapon, so take this healing staff, as long as you promise to give it back at the end of the quest,"
Flipz Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Arthur Uses his telescope to find the Brobric Elves' directions of attack. Sir Knyghton, meanwhile, collects the makeshift swords (that weren't doing anyone any good anyway) and adds them to the Slice N Dice as extra blades, using just a small amount of rope for each. "The more the merrier, I always say!" he quips. OOC: Hmm, Luke has a Diamond. I think that means we're facing undead soon...

I think that means we're facing undead soon... You notice movement to the south.QM Note: No, it means that I wanted an element that would fit in with Luke's personality (Holy, not violent) and couldn't do a lot of Damage to whatever enemies you'd be facing. Remember, he's a support character, not a fighting one. Besides, Althior already has a Diamond. Capt.JohnPaul Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Well, eggs have sulfur in them... Alexandre takes some eggs and takes them down to the South forest and starts a small fire under the cracked eggs. Then he runs away. Now the sulfur will start becoming toxic fumes from the burning, and choke any elves who walk through. In addition, it will corrode any armor or metal they have.

Capt.JohnPaul Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 (edited) QM Note: Are you sure you want to start a fire in the forest? Yes. It's just like a small campfire to burn the eggs, the fire will be surrounded by rocks as well to stop the fire from spreading. Edited February 25, 2012 by Capt.JohnPaul
Brickdoctor Posted February 25, 2012 Author Posted February 25, 2012 Yes. It's just like a small campfire to burn the eggs, the fire will be surrounded by rocks as well to stop the fire from spreading. You build a campfire and set eggs to burn in it. The fumes begin to spread to a small area around the fire, and a pillar of smoke rises into the sky.
Capt.JohnPaul Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 "Ok fellow warriors, are we ready to stand at our positions?"
Flipz Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 "Ok fellow warriors, are we ready to stand at our positions?" "Yes, but first I wish to make some last touches to this ingenious new catapult Arthur constructed." "Yes, I look forward to seeing its stats before we go into battle."
Capt.JohnPaul Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 "Yes, but first I wish to make some last touches to this ingenious new catapult Arthur constructed." "Yes, I look forward to seeing its stats before we go into battle." We made a catapult? The merlin one? I wasn't sure that we completed that.
Flipz Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 (edited) We made a catapult? The merlin one? I wasn't sure that we completed that. "We did indeed, we just haven't seen its stats had a chance to assess its abilities." "Don't worry about that, my friend, I'll have the finishing touches on it in just a moment!" Edited February 25, 2012 by Flipz
Dharkan Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 "New catapult? New wave will be less-boring then!"
Kadabra Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 "Oh, I'll chug the Hurricane before the battle."

Remember, he's a support character, not a fighting one. Besides, Althior already has a Diamond. OOC: Though we still could face some undead enemies if You decided to be really cruel. "Hmm, Will and Arasmyth, would you be so kind as to hand me your smoke bombs? Arthur and I could take them to the south and rig them up, then use a rope or something like that, and potentially blind the elves with them. What do you say? I'll also put Lewis by the Hiyaaaaaa Hwacha, in case that takes some damage this round. I suggest that you two, Will and Xander, keep to the Southern Defenses with me this round. Spag, you stay in the South-East Wall this round, and Luke will stay in the Gatehouses, 2nd floor," OOC: I assume that the Slice-n-dice is stuck at the East Wall, that's why I put Spag at the South Wall. If it somehow moved to the South Wall, put Spag back in there.
