K-Nut Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 What happened to the hole we digged? "It's still there, just no elves have fallen into it yet."
Capt.JohnPaul Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Alex plants 1 fire bomb under the bridge. (Althior stopped me from planting them before.)
Brickdoctor Posted March 21, 2012 Author Posted March 21, 2012 Alexandre, you anchor the weakened Bridge Launcher further upstream and rig a Fire Bomb to it. Althior, with William's help, you move the Slice N Dice into the fort. With the path cleared, you significantly increase the width of the river with your Garnet, causing it to come right up against the South-East and East Walls; this monumental effort leaves you gasping for air and Ether. You watch with satisfaction as the river surges along its new path, taking a couple trees with it, and you realize that this makes it impossible for enemies to approach the South-East and East sides of the fort with melee units, and that those walls will be impossible to scale with grappling hooks. K-Nut Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 "Ugh, I think I'm going to rest a bit on my bedroll before the battle so I can be ready for it." Althior then takes a nap.

Capt.JohnPaul Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 We could have the sage do the same thing for the West wall. We'll have an uncrossable moat! Then are archers can just pick them off.
Brickdoctor Posted March 21, 2012 Author Posted March 21, 2012 We could have the sage do the same thing for the West wall. We'll have an uncrossable moat! Then are archers can just pick them off. QM Note:No one else has a Garnet to manipulate the earth with.
K-Nut Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 QM Note: No one else has a Garnet to manipulate the earth with. Luke picks up Althior's Garnet and extends the river on the West Wall and (if possible) North Wall. OOC: There, problem solved.
Capt.JohnPaul Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Luke picks up Althior's Garnet and extends the river on the West Wall and (if possible) North Wall. OOC: There, problem solved. QM better allow that!
Brickdoctor Posted March 21, 2012 Author Posted March 21, 2012 Luke picks up Althior's Garnet and extends the river on the West Wall and (if possible) North Wall. QM Note:I'm going to go with the in-battle rule here and say that both characters have to be able to act in order to transfer an item.
Capt.JohnPaul Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 QM Note: I'm going to go with the in-battle rule here and say that both characters have to be able to act in order to transfer an item. I pick up Althior's gem and give it to Luke. Althior can give his permission because talking is a free action.
K-Nut Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 QM Note: I'm going to go with the in-battle rule here and say that both characters have to be able to act in order to transfer an item. OOC: Fine. Althior gets up, drowsily, gives Luke his Garnet, and stands for a moment. Luke then uses the Garnet to extend the River around the West Wall and (if possible) North Wall. He then gives it back to Althior, who falls asleep (again). That work for you?
Brickdoctor Posted March 21, 2012 Author Posted March 21, 2012 That work for you? QM Note:I can do that, but your rest will be disturbed and you won't gain as much Ether. Althior can give his permission because talking is a free action. QM Note:Not if he's asleep.
Capt.JohnPaul Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 (edited) QM Note: I can do that, but your rest will be disturbed and you won't gain as much Ether. Hmph... free-action talking would be a better way. Don't use your ether! He's not asleep just tired. As having 0 health= asleep. Edited March 21, 2012 by Capt.JohnPaul
K-Nut Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 QM Note: I can do that, but your rest will be disturbed and you won't gain as much Ether. OOC: How much Ether would I gain then? Althior mutters in his sleep, "Not the Undead Bitch again... Urgh..."
Capt.JohnPaul Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 OOC: How much Ether would I gain then? Althior mutters in his sleep, "Not the Undead Bitch again... Urgh..." Since Althior is sleeping, Alex shouts so he can hear. "ALTHIOR! DO WE HAVE PERMISSION TO USE YOUR GARNET GEM!?"
K-Nut Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Since Althior is sleeping, Alex shouts so he can hear. "ALTHIOR! DO WE HAVE PERMISSION TO USE YOUR GARNET GEM!?" "Wait.. Until Doc... Posts how... much ether I'd... lose..." Althior then lays his head back and starts to snore.
Brickdoctor Posted March 21, 2012 Author Posted March 21, 2012 OOC: How much Ether would I gain then? QM Note:I'll be a nice QM and say half. Since Althior is sleeping, Alex shouts so he can hear. "ALTHIOR! DO WE HAVE PERMISSION TO USE YOUR GARNET GEM!?" QM Note:If you yell at Althior loud enough for him to hear you, he's going to wake up and you might as well just have him give Luke the Garnet himself.
Capt.JohnPaul Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 QM Note: I'll be a nice QM and say half. QM Note: If you yell at Althior loud enough for him to hear you, he's going to wake up and you might as well just have him give Luke the Garnet himself. I say it very quietly in his ear, so it's like hypnotism.
Brickdoctor Posted March 21, 2012 Author Posted March 21, 2012 I say it very quietly in his ear, so it's like hypnotism. QM Note:Then he's not truly giving his permission, and you're still disturbing his rest, so he still won't gain as much Ether.
Capt.JohnPaul Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 QM Note: Then he's not truly giving his permission, and you're still disturbing his rest, so he still won't gain as much Ether. But on Mythbusters, hypnotism only works if the hypnotized person actually wants to perform the action, which Althior does. And he'll be like sleep-walking, so it won't disturb his rest. In addition, I'm a knight. I use my Diplomacy trait in a soothing voice for an extra chance that you allow it.

Fine, if you do the hypnotism thing with Diplomacy, he can regain three-quarters of the max amount of Ether and Luke can take the Garnet.
