Kadabra Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 "Right, saving ammo for later! I'll use Lightning on Onager C!" Arasmyth calls out, then begins to channel his Ether into his staff, building up static electricity. "You know, I wonder why the siege engine worked better while I was drunk. I guess it's just another of life's unfathomable mysteries. "
K-Nut Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Did you put my lucky effect into account after I went against Lord Belril? "Alright, keep our force strong on the West! I can take the free hits from Leorry this round. Same Battle Order!" Althior fires a Darkness Spell at Belril from the back row and a Darkness Spell at Lord Davril from the Back Row.
Brickdoctor Posted April 2, 2012 Author Posted April 2, 2012 Did you put my lucky effect into account after I went against Lord Belril? QM Note:Oops. I have now. Your second roll was worse, so nothing changes.
Fred Daniel Yam Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 "C'mon! Let's take them! I fire of a shot at Lord Belril and a shot at Lord Davril."
K-Nut Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Oh I have to do Luke too! "I'll take Belril, back row, with Light again. If he's not done with by the end of the next round, I'm going after one of the Onagers,"
Capt.JohnPaul Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Same action as last time! Also, the wall with the vine/rope to climb up is behind me right?
Brickdoctor Posted April 2, 2012 Author Posted April 2, 2012 Same action as last time! Also, the wall with the vine/rope to climb up is behind me right? QM Note:I believe so, yes, but you could always just go into one of the towers if you needed to get out of the crossfire.
Capt.JohnPaul Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 QM Note: I believe so, yes, but you could always just go into one of the towers if you needed to get out of the crossfire. Wait, there's a door on the outside????

You see that he doesn't get up, and you turn and fire a Magic Burst at Lord Davril, causing 88 Fire Elemental Damage and obliterating nearly everything to the west. Xander, you turn to Lord Leorry and thrust your club at him, clipping him for 75 Damage. William, you fire two shots at Lord Davril, one missing and one hitting but bouncing off his armor without doing any Damage. Arasmyth, you fire on Onager C, causing 28 Lightning Elemental Damage and destroying it. Luke, you hit Lord Davril with a weaker spell that only has a base power of 2 and doesn't even get through his armor. Alexandre, you turn your attention to Lord Davril and fire two shots. You hit him with the first, and, luckily, he in the river is unable to retaliate when the second misses. Arthur, you try to hit Lord Davril with small stones, but you only succeed in angering him, and he decides to focus on you. Isabella, with no other targets left on the west side, you lob your Fire Bomb at Scout B instead. Helm, with no nearby enemies to throw stones at, you abandon that plan and use the trebuchet to launch a stone at Elite C, which crushes his arm for 15 Damage. "Sirs, Lord Davril and Elites C-E will exit the river at the end of the next Round. Team B has moved into the river, and will emerge in 2 Rounds. The Saboteurs have moved up a level." Horses are needing a major nerf at the end of this quest.
Kadabra Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 A thunderclap is heard as the Onager is destroyed and melted into a smoking mass of rubble. Arasmyth turns his attention to Onager D and repeats his attack. "I love the smell of ozone in the morning!" he calls out as he once more charges his staff.
Sloop Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 Loading another stone onto the catapult, Helm aims at Onager B, which already looks to be damaged. "Is this all the enchantments of the fey folk can muster?" OOC: "Is this all the wizardry of saruman can conjure?"
Brickdoctor Posted April 3, 2012 Author Posted April 3, 2012 OOC: "Is this all the wizardry of saruman can conjure?" QM Note:I've been balancing all the enemies in the quest for Levels 5-10-ish to focus more on the overall defense instead of individual power. K-nut and posades just get to destroy everything they hit. All these good rolls aren't helping, either.
Flipz Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 (edited) OOC: If Davril deals damage to the onager twice, would Arthur take no damage (because the second hit would be directed at the Onager instead of him), or would 8 damage transfer over? Wait, Davril isn't ranged...that means he can't damage me this round! "Uh-oh. Boys, quick, Everyone but Helm, Xander, and Arasmyth, attack Davril now, while he's still Bound! Otherwise, I'm toast!" Arthur loads a large stone into the onager and launches it at Lord Davril. "Master Althior! Put me just after Master Arthur in the battle order, so that if his onager is damaged for some reason I can repair it. Edited April 3, 2012 by Flipz
Dharkan Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 "I'll keep my focus on Elven Scout B, you boys deal with big guys!" "Let's be a little artistic on this one, I'm throwing my dagger at him!"
Flipz Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 "Alright, but I guarantee you he can't hurt you, since he's Focused on me, and since he's Bound...well, I just don't want to have to face him once he shakes off the bear trap, I don't exactly have a lot of Health...if we can focus our attacks and take him out in one Round we'll be in excellent shape."
K-Nut Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 QM Note: Now the die decides to turn in your favor. I hate you, K-nut. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! And Luke should deal 5 damage because of the Healing Staff I think. Althior watches the Necromancer drop dead with pleasure in his eyes. He turns and fires a Darkness Spell towards Lord Leorry and another one at Lord Davril, both from the back row. "Same Battle Order, and take out those onagers!" "Alright, I'll take Onager D from the back row with Light."
Fred Daniel Yam Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 "I fire a shot at Lord Davril then a shot at Archer B."
Brickdoctor Posted April 3, 2012 Author Posted April 3, 2012 And Luke should deal 5 damage because of the Healing Staff I think. QM Note:Healing Staves can only deal Damage to the Undead. Elves are humanoid, so using the Healing Staff to attack them would heal them. I can do that, if you want...
K-Nut Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 QM Note: Healing Staves can only deal Damage to the Undead. Elves are humanoid, so using the Healing Staff to attack them would heal them. I can do that, if you want... If I'd known that, I'd have lent him the Wood Staff Arthur has.
Flipz Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 (edited) If I'd known that, I'd have lent him the Wood Staff Arthur has. OOC: Don't forget, I'll trade away this staff for the Necromancer's staff if necessary, I NEED that Amethyst! 'Course, I wouldn't MIND having both... Edited April 3, 2012 by Flipz
Brickdoctor Posted April 3, 2012 Author Posted April 3, 2012 If I'd known that, I'd have lent him the Wood Staff Arthur has. QM Note:For reference, if you ever do want to do that, it'll take three Turns for Arthur to get into a position from which he and Luke could both spend a Turn to exchange items.
K-Nut Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 "I fire a shot at Lord Davril then a shot at Archer B." "Will! Get those Saboteurs before they reach the mini-merlin! We'll take Lord Davril!"
Flipz Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 "Will! Get those Saboteurs before they reach the mini-merlin! We'll take Lord Davril!" "Uh, I think that if William's going to attack those saboteurs, then you should use both of your attacks on Lord Davril. He's only prevented from dealing damage for one more Round, you know...and I don't know if you noticed, but he's kind of focused on me..." OOC: That last bit was for roleplaying, I know you know he's focused on Arthur and that Atrhur can't handle too much damage...right?
K-Nut Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 "Uh, I think that if William's going to attack those saboteurs, then you should use both of your attacks on Lord Davril. OOC: That last bit was for roleplaying, I know you know he's focused on Arthur and that Atrhur can't handle too much damage...right? "Fine! Remind me to teach you how to man up a little! " Althior fires two darkness bolts at Davril from the back, but in the case that Davril is gone after one of them, he shall fire the second one at Lord Leorry, from the back row.
