You look at the sun and decide that it's about six o'clock in the morning.

OOC: Is there a certain time that the elves will attack?

"The kitchen is fine with me!" He looked to the sky, the dreariness of it reminded him of his emotions. He missed Alexis. He'd see her sooner or later. He laid his hand on his locket, making sure it wasn't the cursed one.

"The dreariness is making me gray," :cry_sad:

QM Note:

Not really, at least before the first wave. After the first wave, you'll each get a certain number of actions you can perform between waves, but before the first one, I'm giving you time to explore the whole fort and get ready.

You return to the Kitchen. The cooks are preparing breakfast, which happens to be an identical meal of giant roasted chicken, giant baked green apples, and bread and cheese.

OOC:  .

"Perhaps we should check the well right outside this kitchen?"

"We still need to check the lean-to storage room."

Alexandre takes a handful of bread and cheese for breakfast.

"After that, we should take some axes and fall some trees!" :classic: says Alex, mouth full of bread.

As you lead the party to the Barracks, the sun is beginning to rise over the horizon and the cloudy blue-grey sky coupled with the mist enveloping the fort are ominous reminders of the dreary situation you find yourself in.

You can see that the barracks are built right into the North Wall. Arrow loops are present in the outer wall of the building, near which a loaded crossbow has been conveniently placed. You move quietly throughout the structure, for there are a few soldiers still asleep in Bedrolls on the floor. You can see that this would be a safe place in which to regain Health and Ether between battles, though only those with Bedrolls will be able to take advantage of that.

OOC: I am so jealous of your brilliant arrow loop design. *oh2* Why couldn't I have thought of that?? :cry2::tongue:

Also, are those along all the walls of the fort? Are there murder holes built into the floors at all?

Man, I want LDD versions of these sets!

"Agreed. Hey, chef! Think you could get some cauldrons of boiling water and oil ready for when the first wave arrives?" Arthur readies to check out the lean-to storage room once he gets his answer.

You recall that the barracks are on the ground floor of the fort.

"Certainly."

You recall that the barracks are on the ground floor of the fort.

Arthur then checks the ceiling, both for existing murder holes and for potential attachment points to add traps. He tries to recall if the upper floors had any murder holes, or if they had attachment points.

You look up at the ceiling and discover that neither murder holes nor machicolations exist in the walls of the fort. There are no attachment points, but you realize that you could always attach things to the wooden beams or create attachment points.

Arthur decides to check out the well, and let the others follow him if they want to.

OOC: There's no real reason we need to all stay in one group while we fortify the place, is there?

The sun has risen and the mist has dispelled as you approach the Storage Lean-to.

What was once a small wooden structure has since gained a small stone foundation and a wattle and daub wall to protect half of it from the elements.

QM Note:

I'll get to the well in a couple of hours. Just realized I only have nighttime pictures of it, and I want to retake them.

Arasmyth will take the rope and wheel, then see what is in the barrels. "A-ha!" he mutters. "These oughta be helpful."

You look inside the barrels. One has been left open and has been filled with rainwater, but the other two are empty.

Looking inside the crate in the Lean-to, you find:

Bedroll
- Allows the hero to rest and regain health in a safe place.

Party Leader, who will receive the found item?

Posted

OOC: I'm assuming since both of these are in the courtyard I can look over and see the lean-to from the Well?

-==IC: Arthur==-

"Good one, Arasmyth! We could even dismantle the lean-to itself for extra supplies."

then give the found item to Althior.

QM Note:

I should take this opportunity to clarify; found items are always distributed by the Party Leader. Other players may only distribute items if they created them themselves.

You join the rest of the party at the well.

Nestled between a few trees, the well is partially shadowed from the bright morning sunlight that has dissipated the mist. Next to it is what was clearly once a small garden, but it is now covered in rampant weed growth.

OOC: Althior didn't have the item or know we had found it, I meant give it to him so he can distribute it. If I was going to distribute it myself I would hang on to it, I don't have a Bedroll yet!

QM Note:

Oh, I see. You emboldened your post, so I thought it was an actual action and not roleplaying.
