Kadabra Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 OOC: Well, it was sort of an action... I can see where i might have been confusing though! Sorry!

Brickdoctor Posted December 16, 2011 Author Posted December 16, 2011 Arthur tries to recall if he saw any tunnels or secret passages down there. You didn't.
Flipz Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 You didn't. "Well, that's one way the Elves can't get in. Woohoo, first blood spilt defending the fort!" He stares straight at Spag as he says this.
K-Nut Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 "Alright! I'll give the bedroll to Arasmyth since he'll need to gain Ether, and if anyone else ever needs healing I've got my staff handy." Althior looks to the map, "Seeing this wall right here is the west wall, I'll see if I can't strengthen it with my Garnet."

Althior looks to the map, "Seeing this wall right here is the west wall, I'll see if I can't strengthen it with my Garnet." You hand the Bedroll to Arasmyth and expend 1 Ether to attempt to strengthen the wall, but, as far as you can tell, nothing happens. Clearly, the walls cannot be strengthened any further by magical means. K-Nut Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 "Damn! I forgot, did I try to physically strengthen the wall? Or did I try to bring a sheet of rock up behind the wall, adding a second layer? I see no reason why the latter wouldn't have worked,"
Dharkan Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 "Too bad that it didn't work. But still, walls are strong enough in my opinion. I don't think Elves will come with catapults and siege weapons." Isabella giggled. "So, what will be our next move?"
K-Nut Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 "Too bad that it didn't work. But still, walls are strong enough in my opinion. I don't think Elves will come with catapults and siege weapons." Isabella giggled. "Why wouldn't they? They expect to take down an entire fort using their bare hands? Not even Abraxas could do that!" Althior's hand sizzled at the name.
Flipz Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 "I agree with Althior. We NEED to get out in the forest and fell some trees for lumber and stakes." Arthur heads out to the forest.
K-Nut Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Althior grabs the neck of Arthur's shirt, "Easy kid, we need to stick together. I'm not letting you take charge to head to the forest, that duty goes to Xander over there. We also need to know how I attempted to strengthen the walls!" "I thought I led them!" "You're a lieutenant, you have as much power as the queen of England!" "Who's that? Is this going to be four for the fourth wall?" "Uhmm, no."
Dharkan Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 (edited) "Hmm, I must admit that I didn't take them that serious until what you just said now." Isabella's face was motionless. What she was expecting was some fighting here and there but Elves are really motivated to get the Fort appearently. "Well then, we must find some crucial tactics for their attacks. Let's see, Is it too late to do some digging around the Fort and fill it with water or something? Or I don't know, not water but we can just dig it and hide the holes with grass and stuff. It'll slow them down for sure. But of course, only if we have time for such time-taking things." Edited December 16, 2011 by Dharkan

Unless you want to finish the catapult first?"

One of the things I don't like about some games is how you can do anything with magic. That's about as fun as a strategy game which allows you to directly purchase anything with gold. It doesn't make you think. Like I said, don't be afraid to think outside the box of the powers listed in the rules thread, like the way Flipz is playing this Quest.
Fred Daniel Yam Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 "We seem to have covered everything, the forest?"
posades Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 "We seem to have covered everything, the forest?" "If everyone is agreement, the forest seems like our next destination -- it will be helpful to explore it while there is still daylight outside."
Kenghis Ghan Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 "Uh... fine, whatever" Spag said impatiently, "Whatever'll get us closer to bashing some Brobrics!"
Fred Daniel Yam Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 "I really wanna try out thus pick, who knows? We might hit mithril!"
Flipz Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 "Let's head to the forest, then!" "Agreed." Arthur follows the other heroes to the forest. OOC: Let's all make more bold choices, shall we?
Brickdoctor Posted December 17, 2011 Author Posted December 17, 2011 QM Note: Sorry for the wait; I never expected you to actually go into the forest, so now I've just finished putting together a set to photograph, but the sun has already set so I can't take pictures until tomorrow.

OOC: No problem. I'm going to be travelling all day tomorrow, so until I reappear same proxy deal as last time: Kadabra, K-nut if Kadabra's not online, Volcanicpanic if none of the above are online.
