Hey there,

I just wanted to share my Maersk Switcher (shunter?). I've been working on it off and on since I first got the Maersk train set. The majority of it comes from the tractor + trailer. The rest from grab bags. I sorta just started building it one day aimlessly. It isn't necessarily supposed to be a copy of an actual switcher but if it's close to something let me know...

I'm open to ideas on how to improve it. I hate the windscreens, I'd like something more realistic but the train windows I saw on bricklink were like $10 each (sloping gray with windows). Also I have no idea what I'm doing with the lights on it! Thanks!!!

That is really cool. It will look nice running around the yard with a few Maersk engines and a bunch of rolling stock and containers.

I think it would have been cool to incorporate the windscreen from the Maersk truck, but it does look cool!

Nice small engine you have there 'wondermonkey', but I could never tear apart my Maersk train set.....I  too much !

Brick On ! :classic:

Thanks guys. Yeah I could never tear apart my Maersk locomotive, but the truck was fair game!

Looks great! I like the cab detail from what I can see.

Very nice switcher 'wondermonkey'. It is a nice change for the Maersk. Great job on that other loco, will you be posting that as well? I'd love to see it default_classic.gif

Thanks! Yeah I guess I could. For the other engine, for most part I followed the BNSF instructions online and built it with what was available. Unfortunately, many of the bricks were stolen from my wife's camper and other sets. I owe her one for Christmas! I also was experimenting with O scale model decals so its not quite right but easy enough to replace someday. I havent posted on here before so yeah maybe Ill put the rest up here sometime. There are so many great ideas on this website.
