Bricksandparts Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 "Ah ha! Look what Alf find! Alf like give Alexis 1 and Alf keep one."
JimBee Posted January 12, 2012 Author Posted January 12, 2012 QM Note: Notice how it said that it's up to the Party Leader to decide how to divide the loot. Alf found it for story purposes. @Masked: Alexis gets to keep it since she dug it up, unless you want to give it to someone else.
Masked Builder Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 "Let me see which ways lead out of the clearing...." @Masked: Alexis gets to keep it since she dug it up, unless you want to give it to someone else. OoC: Oh sorry, missed that.
Bricksandparts Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 QM Note: Notice how it said that it's up to the Party Leader to decide how to divide the loot. Alf found it for story purposes. @Masked: Alexis gets to keep it since she dug it up, unless you want to give it to someone else. OoC: I'm just stating that ald would Like to give one to Alexis and keep one. But I know it is the PL's decision.
Jebediahs Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 OoC: Yeah, your shovel, your loot. You can share or keep to yourself. Loot: 1x Remedy - Alf Gregory 1x Remedy - Atramor Gibbin "You can give yours to Alexis if you really want to, Alf." Nur looked around the clearing. "This jungle is maddening. We can't seem to go any further in this direction. Let us back track to the previous intersection and head Southwest. Captain, do you think these items we've been finding were hidden by pirate types? I'm not familiar with the Pongcanis. But if they're native to this island, do they regularly use such items?"
JimBee Posted January 12, 2012 Author Posted January 12, 2012 The party looks around, and sees that there are actually two more paths, Northwest and Southwest. Oops.
Bricksandparts Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Alf, annoyed at his leaders sense of "Luck", finally spoke up. "Can we least see where compass says go? We have deadline... We be lost here for long time. Let see if we can find place stay tonight." Alf then listens for any tribes close by and searches out the surrounding area to hear or see anything that might be civilization. OoC: BTW what time is it? realistically, we have probably been traveling for hours. Also how long did it take to get from Eubric here?
Masked Builder Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 "Sure Alf." She gives him a smile. "I shall use my compass."
JimBee Posted January 13, 2012 Author Posted January 13, 2012 Alexis looks at her compass, which points Northwest.
Jebediahs Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 "Since no one's feeling too adventurous anymore, let us follow the compass. Northwest."
JimBee Posted January 13, 2012 Author Posted January 13, 2012 The party heads Northwest, and the path splits three more ways: West, East, and Southwest. The compass points East.
JimBee Posted January 13, 2012 Author Posted January 13, 2012 QM Note: I will let you know if you find anything.
JimBee Posted January 14, 2012 Author Posted January 14, 2012 QM Note: I am directionally challenged. I meant to say the compass points West. Assuming you're going to still follow the compass, I'll just go ahead and send you that way for now. The party follows the compass West, which leads to another clearing. The party recognizes it from the scorched trees - this is where they fought the Phoenix. The paths available are Northeast, South, and North.
Jebediahs Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 "Wow, I didn't realize how much damage we did before." Nur headed North. Then North again if possible.
JimBee Posted January 14, 2012 Author Posted January 14, 2012 North, and North again. Just before the party arrives they can hear voices talking behind the dense foliage. They peek around and see two rugged looking men and a woman. They don't seem to notice the party. "...the bosses are not happy," says one of the men. "Best to do just stay outta their way," says the other. "Shh! Listen!" says the woman. She listens for any movement, and then spots Ellaria's flaming staff. "There! Who goes there?" she demands. How will the party respond?
Sandy Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 "Whoops, sorry", Ellaria apologizes from the party. Her staff really makes it hard for her to hide. "You guys stay hidden, I'll see what I can find out", she whispers to the others, then walks into the clearing. Ellaria fakes a limp and distorts her face into an expression of agony and distress. "Oh, I'm so relieved to find people here!" she exclaims to the trio. "I've been wandering here for ages without a soul in sight. All sorts of monsters have attacked me, and I think I broke my leg. I'm drained out of ether to even heal myself anymore... P-please, help me..." She then falls to her knees in front of the group. "My ship was attacked by pirates, and then it got caught in an unnatural storm. All my companions and the ship's crew... they drowned... I'm the only one left. Our quest to find the Finegold brothers failed in the most horrible way... Please, I need a potion or something..." Ellaria had an inkling that these three were working for the brothers, so she wanted to fool them into thinking that the magic storm had successfully gotten rid of the heroes chasing after them. Now it all depended on what the three thugs would do to her...
CMP Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Atramor chuckles at Ellaria's 'scene'. Well, at least it'd give him the opportunity to examine the wanderers' stats.
JimBee Posted January 14, 2012 Author Posted January 14, 2012 The three looked at each other. They didn't seem to be buying it. Unfortunately, as charming as Ellaria could be, she did not have that convincing aura of a Knight. The pirates stepped closer. "Hey, I recognize her from the ship, right before the storm!" said the first man. "She was fighting off the Boatswain with a few others." "Heeheehee! The bosses will be so happy to see we've taken care of their little problem, once and for all!" the woman giggled. The pirates drew their weapons, and prepared to attack Ellaria. The rest of the party had no choice but to spring from their hiding place to help the cleric. Atramor used his Cloak of the Elven Spy, but it did not matter since the enemies were already upon them. Quarryman Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 "Seems some Blindness on Criminal Thug B from the back row might be good, he could become a hard hitter if he gets twice as strong, but if he can't see that won't be a problem!"
