DMcKenna Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 (edited) Bought an extra JOKER figure to augment the Green Lantern and Joker figs that I already have. Not a huge difference here, but I think they're closer to their comic appearances now. My theory for this line is Lex Luthor made power-suits for all of the Villains to combat the heroes, so Tony Stark made power-suits for the Heroes in retaliation. _shaddow_ Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 The joker has been improved by these modifications, but what I really like is what you did with green lantern. Would it be possible to have pictures of the way all the armors are attached on his torso, so I can recreate it, when they'll be out here ? Thanks. Quote
VBBN Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Green lantern looks excellent, a far better and more fluent torso than he originally had. Joker looks better as well, though its a bit hard to tell what exactly is going on with him, Can you give a back view to see what you did with his coat or whatever may be going on back there? Quote
Nightcruise Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Now why couldn't Lego have done that? These are very good, would like to know how you did GL's shoulder armor. Quote
Shakar Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 I agree with everyone, Green Lantern looks great (minus the head, but that's not your fault). I would really like to see how you attached the shoulder armour. Quote
Ceroknight Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Green Lantern is a beauty! Very well done, love what you did to the Joker as well! Quote
Aethersprite Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Green Lanturn looks fantastic, the way all the armours gel together! Nice job on Joker as well. Quote
vexorian Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 These are great, I think it really puts TLG to shame. Quote
Cirkit Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 (edited) My theory for this line is Lex Luthor made power-suits for all of the Villains to combat the heroes, so Tony Stark made power-suits for the Heroes in retaliation. If the Marvel and DC worlds combined, then maybe this theory could work. I'd actually like to see Bats versus Cap, but that's irrelevant. The modified 'armor' looks great. 'Lantern looks far closer to his comic book stylings than before; with the shoulder-pads as low as they are now, they make the figure look more solid as compared to the gaps left in the official set. Lower arms look great too. Joker, well.. is more purple. Or lilac. And I like that. It looks like he's got the suit with a green vest instead of a green and purple suit, and the whole thing looks much more.. stable, despite the character not being as such. Have you done away with the coattails? I can't seem to see them in the pictures, and that is a little disappointing to me.. they were one of my favorite things of the original sets. But, the augmentations as a whole look great. -Cirkit EDIT: Thanks for the pictures of the backs. That's a pretty simple way to mount the shoulders, simple but effective. Now that I can see the coattails on Joker's, well, coat :P , I can say that I am very pleased with the look. The gunmetal grey plate is a little strange to me, but it makes sense because he is supposed to be wearing 'power armor'. I also liked the 'come at me' pose in the bottommost picture, that made me laugh a little. :) Edited December 24, 2011 by Cirkit Quote

Nightcruise Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Thanks for showing off how you made them better. TLG should take some notes from that set up. Quote
