SavaTheAggie Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 (edited) Twas The MOC Before Christmas by SavaTheAggie, on Flickr When what on my wandering tracks should appear, But a mini-scale coach, and eight tiny traindeer, With a little old driver, so lively and quick, I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick. More rapid than diesels his engines they came! While they whistled, he shouted and called them by name: "Now, Zephyr! now, Memphis! now, Empire and Bullet! On, Comet! on, Chieftain! on, Daylight and Rocket! To the end of the line! Slip the brake and highball! Now chug away! chug away! chug away all!" Merry Christmas! --Tony Edited December 23, 2011 by SavaTheAggie Quote

VBBN Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Very cute and clever indeed The way you miniaturized the trains is very awesome, though this is a little downgrade for santa, unless the trains fly! And very nice job with santa's legs Quote
L@go Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Haha! Made me smile - very well made, Mr. Sava! A merry Christmas to all fellow Train Techies! Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 WOW! This is a masterpiece Tony! I like all that little locomotives perfectly recreated on a smaller scale! Nice rails! Quote
Man with a hat Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 So very nice. I recognized a couple of classic LEGO trains and then I saw you also put in small version of your own MOCs. That's great. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 Absolutely love it! I think this deserves some special mention on the front-page! Quote
JopieK Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 really, really nice indeed! the MOC before christmas huh ;) @TheBrickster, well you did :) Quote
Hollander Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 (edited) I'm only active in the Star Wars subforum, and occasionally in the Sci-Fiction one, but I had to take a look at your cute little trains when I saw it at the frontpage. You really made great representations of those trains in such a small scale. It also remembered me of my period before the dark ages, when I made something similar; an engine with two wagons. Talking about nostalgia. Anway, awesome job. I would love to see more of those micro trains in the future. Also, Santa seems to have a good time over there. And let's not forget about your poem, I always love some background story or some other extra's, kudos for that. Edited December 25, 2011 by Hollander Quote

Very cute and clever indeed The way you miniaturized the trains is very awesome, though this is a little downgrade for santa, unless the trains fly! And very nice job with santa's legs Thanks! I have seen this leg design used elsewhere, certainly not original. But I felt it needed to look like Santa was really riding the coach. Haha! Made me smile - very well made, Mr. Sava! I've been toying with at least creating a few more micro trains, like creating a full Santa Fe Super Chief consist, or building a few TTX intermodal cars to go with the BNSF. --Tony Quote
