February 26, 20169 yr Ultimately you might want to modify QAR/BP to make them into a better ship. IF is a beauty (as are the other two) but the POTC ships seem a little incomplete for some reason. I have all three, but currently only have IF together, but I am thinking of taking it apart for space. I have 3 other ships together so they all need to go somewhere.
February 27, 20168 yr I would get the Imperial flagship. The price of it is still going up and the price of the other two have leveled off, for now. Also, a side note to keep in mind, with the new movie coming out next year there "might" be a chance of a remake of either of the 2 ships or a new one completely. Sometimes MSRP when new is the cheapest price...
February 27, 20168 yr I definitely agree with redteooper27! The imperial flagship is a must buy for any pirate fan
February 27, 20168 yr Thank you for the advise, all. And yes, I'm heavily leaning towards getting the Imperial Flagship. I plan to mod it, by at least adding cannons and redcoat minifigs. With PotC ships, I will have to add zombie crew, otherwise it will look ackward...
February 27, 20168 yr I am very happy with your decision! Yeah add 4 more cannons to the bottom deck along with a couple swivel gums to the top deck where the steering wheel is. (aka stud shooters) and put a row boat on the main deck and your ship will be perfect
March 1, 20168 yr If you are starting from scratch it might be better to use Bricklink to get some figures, accessories and some parts to start your own ship, since there isn't much on the shelves right now.

March 1, 20168 yr I definitely agree with redteooper27! The imperial flagship is a must buy for any pirate fan I assume you mean the set released in 2010 and not the Redcoat "Imperial Flagship"?
April 5, 20168 yr How much are you willing to pay? I aim to go to about £3 or £4 max. If it's a figure I really need them maybe a little more. I ask because some of the prices I've seen online at various places verge on ridiculous. I'm trying to build up my Bluecoats at the moment so picking up standard Imperial Soldiers when I can get them. You can get good deals occasionally on eBay but it usually involves purchasing mixed lots and then making up the figures from the parts you have. I saw a seller on there that was trying to sell 5 Imperial Soldiers for £25 and they also had another listing with 20 Imperial Soldiers for £120??!? On Bricklink there are a lot of different lots with fairly sensible prices but I've actually seen a seller on there with Imperial Soldier minifigs listed at £9 each!?!!! This appears to have been reduced from £10 each?!?!! Crazy. So how much are you willing to pay for your minifigs? Edited April 5, 20168 yr by The Imperial Soldier
April 5, 20168 yr To me standard $ to pay is between 3 - 5 usd, but in some cases with rare figures, i dont mind to go up to $ 8-10 usd

April 5, 20168 yr To me standard $ to pay is between 3 - 5 usd, but in some cases with rare figures, i dont mind to go up to $ 8-10 usd I think they're sensible prices. It's hard to believe that people are actually trying to sell basic figures at more than you would pay for rare ones though!!
April 6, 20168 yr I think they're sensible prices. It's hard to believe that people are actually trying to sell basic figures at more than you would pay for rare ones though!! But unfortunately there are some sellers who even list some figures from 90s for above 25 usd + shipping which i believe it is completely Crazy
April 6, 20168 yr But unfortunately there are some sellers who even list some figures from 90s for above 25 usd + shipping which i believe it is completely Crazy I can kind of understand if they only have a few figures and they consider them to be rare, however the seller that is selling basic Imperial Soldiers for £9 each has over 130 of them. It made me laugh that they have the word "cheap" in their shop name! LOL
May 6, 20168 yr I would rather buy a cheap official LEGO impulse set, than a large set from a cheap knockoff brand. Enlighten is downright awful - and - The only knockoff that comes somewhat close to approaching quality, is the Hasbro stuff, and even that is just not enough for my taste (but not for want of trying). It's your money though. But I just wish no-one would support these awful clones. Plus, the shipping will probably get expensive anyway. THe clones are not awful at all, and some of us have kids to feed. So better clone than nothing at all.
May 12, 20168 yr 121 redcoats for sale on eBay st the moment. Already over £400!?!! and several days to go.
May 12, 20168 yr 121 redcoats for sale on eBay st the moment. Already over £400!?!! and several days to go. crazy. So Crazy. I cannget 200 rescoat in new condition for 100 usd..
May 12, 20168 yr crazy. So Crazy. I cannget 200 rescoat in new condition for 100 usd.. I just noticed it's the same seller I saw a few weeks ago trying to sell 5 bluecoats for £25 and 20 bluecoats for £120. They were "buy it now" listings but indicate they're looking for £5-6 per minifig. So they must be hoping the bidding on this latest auction will be £500-600.
May 13, 20168 yr crazy. So Crazy. I cannget 200 rescoat in new condition for 100 usd.. It's still got a day left and is up to £680!?!!!
May 14, 20168 yr Man, that is pretty ridiculous. People really don't want to take the time to assemble their own armies I guess lol. Back to the topic of the thread, I've slowly been gathering extra Pirate and Imperial minifigs with every Bricklink order I make. I also just lucked out on eBay and got a bunch of assorted Pirate pieces for $10.....palm trees, extra weapons, Armada soldiers, and about 250 other ship parts. Pretty good score overall.
May 14, 20168 yr It's still got a day left and is up to £680!?!!! It finished at £720 and the Bluecoat auction at £255. So the seller made £975 selling 189 minifigs.
May 14, 20168 yr Oh my god. When converted to US dollars, it's $1400. That's over $7 per minifigure. CRAZY.
May 15, 20168 yr It finished at £720 and the Bluecoat auction at £255. So the seller made £975 selling 189 minifigs. Looks like the person who won it is a Wealthy Rich :)
