The only thing missing is an outdoor ATM, maybe under the "Spar Nord" sign, but I guess that could ruin the design. Otherwise the bank looks great

Ah, but what if I put an ATM in the Dagli'Brugsen or build an extension on the side the bank on a road plate with fill-in plates to form just a right angle turn into the OK tankstation....the latter sounds good to me....I'll look into it.

Thanks for the feedback and support there 'BrickSindito' ! :classic:

I'll update a.s.a.p.

Impressive interior for the bank.

But I would change the outside of the roof; not letting the sloped bricks´staggering show against the DBG wall, but use some white plates diagonally. It´s just a suggestion...

Thanks for the feedback, I'm getting better at my interiors being practicing for a while now.

Oh, I better clear something up....this is NOT going next to the Dagli'Brugsen but on the other side of the OK tankstation. Then hopefully I can position a house at either end of this creation and perhaps one of those houses can be also for a business of some sort too.

'Hoexbroe' where should these white plates go, do you mean 1x1's directly under each red slope brick forming the roof on the bank ?

I hope no one asks me to do the same to the Dagli'Brugsen's roof as I have done so far to the bank's roof ? :cry_sad::laugh:

Trying still to design an ATM that's Danish in style...I'll keep going....any other suggestions welcome. :classic:

Found this ATM in the city of Dronninglund (Queensgable if you will). It has a build in ATM in the wall. Maybe yours could fit in the wall on the side of your bank? Also notice the small logo-detail. It's a design-signature that you see on most SparNord Banks.

Thanks 'Otherworld' for your comments and again for your help 'MadManMingo', that ATM is so simple to do in Lego....might scratch one up in LDD first....but finding a home for it in the bank might be a problem. The side wall is taken up by the safe, the only place is to remove a window and fit it there, of course it needs it's strong box and electronics box on the back of it. Any ideas ? :classic:

I don't really update like this, but the tiger needs advice big time....where to stick this in the bank ?

ldd_atm_design_1.png

I have brick-built a similar one tonight, but it needs to be mounted and bricked around it....plus the back....it still needs a back on it ?

Any suggestions ? I would ever be so grateful. :sweet:

I can't quiet see from the picture. But dont you have 3 studs between the vault and the arch-pillar? That would be ideal.

Otherwise, a lot of banks in denmark fit the ATM's trough af window/glass. But I can't quiet see how that would be possible at the front, with your eksisting window elements. When the glas is just one piece, you can't just pull out the middle piece of glass, like in the real real world.... Hmmmmm....

Ah, you might be right about that spacing I'll have a close look....besides if I rip out a front window and install this with a different window fitting above it...Dam, I built a great bank and can't fit an ATM in it. Perhaps, 'MadManMingo' your first suggestion might be as close as we are going to get eh ?

I'm planning a raise path with steps along side the bank on the road plate between that and the OK tankstation.

Thanks 'MadManMingo' for your continuing help, I'm very grateful for it. :classic:

This seems like a great place for those pesky 8x16 baseplates (If you have any).

Bank On! (See what I did there!?! )

Thanks 'Dakar' for your comments, the walkway with be built up like the steps up to the bank's front door.

I might be using an intersection plate and plating over open road ends to build up some greenery and raised pavements.

Keep watching. :classic:

Looking great LT!!! ( I spy a white 1x3  )

Nice ATM. Actually it also gives it carachter, when it's pulled a bit out of the wall. And I think it's a great solution with the stairs leading towards it.

Some small suggestions... and nothing more than that, it's your model and you decide.

But you don't see blue alarm lights outside danish banks. It would be very realistic though with some sort of lamp above the ATM. It also helps people fell comfortable while doing their business and keep crooks from lurking in the dark

My other suggestion is about the red thing'y on the side of the building. I havn't figured out it's purpose yet, other than an arcitectural detail. But how about switching it with a fellow like this?

d7e9bb3a-11ce-4273-a986-88d8bf68078f.jpg

It would also follow the design-line of SparNord.

Just suggestions... Looking forward to see how it goes :sweet:

Thanks 'MadManMingo', I might redesign the red alarm box and put a red/blue symbol where the strobe light is...perhaps an illegal connection using 1x1 clip plates and 1x1 red/blue tiles....can you picture it ?

I've run out of 1x3 white tiles and had to use 1x1 and 1x2 tiles instead now.....money is tight at the moment.

Keep watching !

I hope you are going to add a camera at the 'hole in the wall' i know your town is a very safe one but just to be on the safe side.

Well, this might answer your question/suggestion 'Alasdair'(thanks for your comment).....

lego_danish_bank_81.jpg

I'm now considering continuing the red line under the guttering above the sign.

Dam, I still must fill that hole above the ATM....tonight.

Keep watching. :classic:

Nice! Let there be light, right? I like how this s going, and it gives me a welcome break from Town Hall discussion. I think this is the best, non-mdular Lego bank I've personally ever seen!

Brick on,

Nice progress LT.

I really like that you've moved the light up from the ATM. It was kinda blocking the SparNord-sign at the back, but doesn't anymore

:sweet:

The stairs are also evolving quiet nicely

What a crazy night with the new Modular Town Hall eehhh? Never seen so many people reading and commenting a single post at the same time. But it's also a real beauty, even though I have to lower my modular-shelf

Sorry... didn't mean to change the subject

Hopefully I'll be able to fill that gap and do some more work on the steps tomorrow.

Though I'm writing another review tomorrow so I must find time to do so.

Keep watching ! :classic:

Update time.....gap filled and steps done.

Minifig next....comments welcomed....oh, once I have done the figure I will then do the connecting road plate between this and the OK tanstation. I will then do an intensive photo shot of the two together.....the Dagli'Brugsen will be back on track again too !

Looking sharp

I'm looking forward to se your three danish models together...

Thanks 'MadManMingo', fresh batteries tomorrow to shoot the side of the bank again...finally added that extra red trim above the sign/below the white guttering.

Minifig hopefully tomorrow....oh, any suggestions on a typical small car in Denmark I could MOC up for my town ?

Hopefully also I'll be back on the supermarket real soon.
