Hi, Finally I got some time to work on the truck. This time I have done some work on the cabin, I did borrow some designs from the 8110, after all this is also a Mercedes Benz.

I uploaded many pictures if anybody is interested.

Cheers

Hi,

After many days of inactivity due to work, trips and a sick baby :cry_sad: ... I´m back doing some technic  . I got many parts from BL so I was able to work on the back of the truck: I needed to built some shelves to store all the rigs and firefighting equipment, and here the result.

I uploaded quite a few new picks on Brickself.

Also, I was to simulate, the folded fire hoses by using 1x7 Lift arms but i need quite large number of them. Any suggestions on other lego part that may do the job better?.

cheers

I don't understand what you are trying to do with regards to the folding hose, could you explain it any better?

I´ll try :-) I was going to use lift arms to imitate folded fire hoses for the back of the truck as shown on the picture, but I have to use too many of them, so I was looking for an alternative lego parts that will look like fire hoses.

I think that stack of 1x7 Technic Liftarms looks fine to simulate a folded fire hose. However, one could use 4081b "Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Clip Light - Type 2 (thick ring)" parts on the ends of 3666 1x6 Plates or 6636 1x6 Tiles sandwiched in between them:

Very ingenous Sr, too bad is not Lego, or lego does have shoe laces  thx!

You could use Pneumatic hose, you could then add a pf s motor to the reel and then power it.You can buy meters of lego compatible hose from Blokbricks.:classic:

Pneumatic hose will match the standard 1 inch booster hose usually carried on a reel on the fire pumper, rather than being stored flat.

The 5 inch relay hose is the one normally carried folded in the pumper.

To use a PF for the reel is a good idea, but I need to take out and rebuild many parts  !

Will see, thx
