Vader Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 Well i finally got around to doing some more work on my jabbas palace, ive now tried to make the cave alot bigger and also incorparate the trap door shoot and the large door that the rancor enters from. I have also made a few changes to the palace itself. As allways all comments are welcome and any suggestions on how to improve it would be good. The pics might not be open to the public yet and their are alot of them. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=111926 Quote
ApophisV Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Hey, yesterday I watched Episode 6 (the first time since years.. ;) ) and I'm really impressed how close your version of the palace comes to what I have in my mind.... :oo Very well done job! :) Quote
Orlego Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 WOW :oD It is looking great Vader. I like the detail you have put into it. Great work! :D Quote
Jipay Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Definitly a nice improvment over the first version :) I like this new creature in the basment ! Looks like Luke is in big troubles. *devil* Quote
Athos Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 As Darth Vader would say: "Most impressive." Quite an elaborate ambitous project. Steve Quote
jonfett Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Great work Vader, this really looks accurate and I like what you have done with the cave! This sure is a fine custom! :) Jon. Quote
pionneer Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 I saw this on brickshelf the other day and I think it was in the forums at fbtb. I think this is a awesome creation, I love the accuracy and playability of it. This should definitely be submited for the ep VI recreation at LEGO I think the palace and cave are jobs well done and I dont think that they could be done much better. The only area for attention is the 'grey hallway area', some more attention here will make this diorama awesome. Congrats on a great peice of work. Quote
Vader Posted January 12, 2005 Author Posted January 12, 2005 Thanks for all your kind words guys :) pionneer version 1 was on both brickshelf and fbtb and i agree that the hallway needs redoing, ive been trying to find pics of the entrance way (the large door that the droids enter) and how it conects up to the rest of the building so if anyone knows then please let me know. One of the things that ive noticed is that from the outside the whole palace is a cylinder shape and yet from the inside it looks rectangular....strange |-/ Quote
CopMike Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Nice one vader!! :) One can really taste how crunchy the Gamorrean Guard is! And this proves the theory that the Egyptians made spacetrips in their pyramids because of the hieroglyphic inscriptions on the wall! :-D keep it up / copmike Quote
Vader Posted January 12, 2005 Author Posted January 12, 2005 Thats not Egyptian its old hutt writing ;) :-D :-D Quote
Vader Posted January 17, 2005 Author Posted January 17, 2005 Why thank you all for the kind words and if anyone has pics of the the other areas of the palace then please let me know :) Quote

TenorPenny Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Elaborate and impressive, indeed! Does anyone think the Lego designers look at this and grumble they weren't given such freedom in their own attempts? It'd be funny. Quote
