Staszek Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Patrick Your website is an ultimate inspiration to all train fans! I especially like your approach to layout building though I am probably too orthodox in my layout thinking to go without baseplates under track Your Christmas setup is great! Could you give some details about all this lightning? Is it all based on '70 and '80 system or a separate invention? BTW, your train collection is just stunning. I should probably skip on with my signature here ... Quote

Staszek Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 (edited) I am definitely going to use this in my layout. Interesting why TLG do not have these micro leds in the offer, only bulk lights. Nothing to use as street lights for example. Edited February 18, 2010 by Staszek Quote
patje Posted February 18, 2010 Author Posted February 18, 2010 (edited) Here you see what examples of my layout with leds greets patje Edited February 18, 2010 by patje Quote

Bricktrix Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 The layout looks great, I think I've had this in my fav folders from Brickshelf for some years now. Out of curiosity, what do you use for your ballast, as it looks quite large? I used cat litter, but again I feel it was too large, it looked like rocks rather than stones compared to traditional model railway scale ballast. I really like the led usage, I purchased many some time back but never got around to getting them fitted. Again, out of curiosity are your signals 12v LEGO ones, or MOC's with LED's? Do you know, or do you think you can estimate how much money all the 12v stuff has cost you over the years? I have quite a large collection of it now and I know roughly how much its all cost, its quite frightening! Quote

Hello 'Bricktrix' for the ballast use gravel, it is used at the production of ponds in the gardens ... the most fine grain. now there lie 50 kilogrammes on the layout. My Signal 12 volt are originals... I have made other too.. for the 9 volts.... I dont know how much it cost on the years... Buth I know it is much. Edited March 17, 2010 by patje Quote
