sam89 Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Well we should see the finished versions of the sets in February at the Toy Fair, and all of the other sets we haven't seen so far ;) Quote
Vader Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 I didnt think of that , for some reason i allways forget about toyfair. :( Quote
Jipay Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 It's normal you forget about them since toy fair is here to present the new models and we always got the pics before the event :D Quote
Turaga Matau Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Wow, they're great!! Thanks!! ~Dylan Quote
Lord_Of_The_LEGO Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 OK, here's a part from a post I posted at CC: There has been some discussion about the new axes. Chris and I have talked and we are certain that the one-bladed axe is made of a new axe head and a HP wand. The two-bladed axe head is made out of a long bar and two axe heads, like so: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/lordofth...Vikings/axe.gif Also, here's something on the helmets: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/lordofth...ngs/helmets.jpg And on the weapons: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/lordofth...ngs/weapons.jpg Also here's an image a buddie of mine made that counts the amount of possible figures on the longship: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/porschec...hipfigures1.jpg As for my opinion on the Vikings: *wub* :-D :oo Quote
MisterMattias Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 The Viking sets look cool, apart from the monsters. I'll buy the sets and build monsters of my own I guess. Maybe I can sell the Bionicle monsters on Ebay. I found a Lego Viking ship on Ebay today, and wonder if there's something I've missed. They've never released this one, have they? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...ssPageName=WDVW My guess is that the dad selling it for his son has mistaken it for M__ablocks or something. Or what do you say? Quote
Vader Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 It dosent look like a megabloks ship to me and i have never seen a megablok one done like this, my guess is that its a custom ship thats for sale. Quote
The Middleman Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 It is 'M__abloks'. Or at least a cheap imitation of LEGO. Look at the masthead and the dragon wings. Quote
Brickmaster Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 WOW. Everything looks good but the bionicle beasts. The longboat with serpent is the best. That thing that is supposed to be a wolf looks like a huge rat to me. 2005 is a good year for lego. Quote
indyj19 Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Hi new here been lurking a while vader316 you are right it is not a megabloks ship it is actually a imitation. I have seen similar sets in other places of the world. Yet when one asks what they are most say that these are "legos" even though it is obvious they are not. Quote
jonfett Posted January 15, 2005 Author Posted January 15, 2005 Thanks for the diagrams Nathan, they really make it clear about parts of the Viking line. I really hope that there are 10 figures with the boat, that would be great! Oh, and welcome to Eurobricks Nathan and indyj19 :) Jon. Quote
Vader Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Yep there sure are alot of clone lego brands out there and ebay is always full of them. Quote
Luigi Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 10 minifigs ... i didn't see them all it's better than I thought, let's hope that ^^ Quote
The Middleman Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 I thought there were around 5 or 6... *wacko* This will raise the price, though - I'm thinking $60-$70 now rather than $50. Still, Vikings are all we're after, eh? :D Quote
Vader Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 It sure will but still its such a good set that i would think that most of us will buy it :) Quote
jedijeff Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Does anyone know how much the Longboats going to be? Jeff *glasses* Quote
Jipay Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Actually nobody knows anything concerning the final price so far... As usual, if we got any info, it'll appear on the frontpage Quote
jedijeff Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Actually nobody knows anything concerning the final price so far... As usual, if we got any info, it'll appear on the frontpage thanks jipay ;) I just wanted to know Jeff Quote
Brickmaster Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 I estimate the longboat will be around 50 USD. It shure does have alot of figs though.... an absolute price raiser :/ , but that is all were after, isnt it? Quote
Vader Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 Hopefully these new viking sets will sell well and we will get even more viking sets next year :) Quote
jonfett Posted January 16, 2005 Author Posted January 16, 2005 Lets hope so! I would love more Viking sets, as long as these ones are good which I am sure thy will be. Jon. Quote
Vader Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 Well theres lots more sets that they could make so im sure they will. Quote
The Middleman Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 Someone in another thread said this is part of a new Historic line. If that's true, I don't think we'll see more Vikings, but we could probably look forward to things such as Greeks and Romans. Quote
