The Middleman Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 We still need really good gray castle pieces, though. And lots of them. Quote
The Middleman Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 Bley, actually. If we accept the change, they need to supply us with all we had before, plus some. Quote
Vader Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 Old grey is dying out im affraid :( so i would expect any castle to be in the new colour Quote
The Middleman Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 That's what I'm saying, we need huge, plentiful castles in bley. Quote
Vader Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 I know , i know :-D any castles are good if u ask me :) Quote
cinema27 Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 besides the Bionicle parts, it is good to see that LEGO still has some classic left in them. :^^ Quote
sam89 Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 I saw this post on Lugnet that says that the Viking sets are coming out in Jne or July, not September. It's not a hoax, and it'll be hitting retail in summer of '05. ...around late June to early July! Quote
Brickmaster Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 well, july is better than september, heck, its a whole ton better! :-D Quote
Wolf04 Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Ummm, not to offend the LEGO fans, but check out this Dragons ship: http://www.rebelscum.com/photo.asp?image=h..._catalogue2.jpg If only LEGO could make something like that except way less <insert that tiresome argument>. What does this gotta do with Vikings? Ummm, I guess nothing but when I first saw it, I thought it was the Vikings ship. :P Plus I guess it's related to the Vikings theme....somehow. 8-| Quote
indyj19 Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Hey i think my bro has that ship it is not bad for being a megablok set the bricks are a real pain to get on securely otherwise the design is neat and it has these neat flame things but unlike lego flames they look terrible unless in a lantern or something the light up part is cool though if i had a choice based on just pics i would still go for the viking ship over that set any day Lego + vikings = very cool *glasses* Quote
christopher110 Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 This is what i got from Bricksworld (Lego exclusive in Singapore): 7015 Vikings warrior challenges the Fenris Wolf S$8.90 7016 Vikings boat against the Kraken Monster S$19.90 7017 Vikings catapult versus the Nidhogg Dragon S$39.90 7018 Vikings ship challenges the Midgard Serpent S$99.90 7019 Vikings fortress against the Fatnir Dragon S149.90 For ur information 1 USD is approximately S$2. There are some changes for the preliminary designs. The new design of 7019 fortress is totally different with the preliminary one. The front door is black gate instead of the wooden gate/door. The base plate is green in colour (it was blue). The high tower of fortress is no longer there. The Bionicle-like monster is displaced by the Fatnir Dragon in green colour which looks alike the Nidhogg Dragon in 7017. 7017 and 7018 remain the same design as the preliminary ones. But I'm not sure about the 7015 and 7016, i guess one of them got some slight change. I really can't recall it.... I only took a glance on the latest catalogue for 2005. Play on. Quote
The Middleman Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 Christopher, you've got news! GIVE US SCANS! :D Please. Quote
christopher110 Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 I'm sorry to say that i don't have the catalogue. It's with the dealer, she showed it to me. However, i promiss that if i get the scanned pictures or whatever, here will be the first place that I post it on. Play on. Quote
sam89 Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 The changes sound good. I can't wait to see the pics, if not from you, then at Toy Fair :-D Quote
sam89 Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 Christopher110, you probably didn't, but did you notice whether or not the figures has beards? Because we've heard that the beards won't be in the final sets and they will be printed on the minifigs's head instead. Quote

KimT Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Whatever LEGO decides I'll definately be buying all those new Viking sets (eventhough the Norse never used horns in their helmets)...2005 is going to be a very expensive year. Star Wars, City, X-pods, Designers and now this.... :) KimT "Onwards men!" "Victory is at hand!" -Famous Last Words Quote
christopher110 Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 [ Christopher110, you probably didn't, but did you notice whether or not the figures has beards? Because we've heard that the beards won't be in the final sets and they will be printed on the minifigs's head instead.] Sorry, I didn't notice. The catalogue is in A4 size and 5 sets in one page. So, you can imagine what small the size of the picture would be. I just received the reply from the dealer and she said she doesn't have the softcopy of the catalogue. That particular page was printed and given to her in the form of hardcopy. Hopefully someone will post the pictures here after the toyfair coz there's not such thing in my country (ashamed.... .....). Play on :) (and save money from now, hehehe) Quote
