snefroe Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 i'll provide the moral support ;) now, who's going to finance this operation? Quote
sam89 Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 From BZPower: The revelation that there will be no Vikings sets this year was the biggest shock. :'( :'( :'( :'( Quote
Wolf04 Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 From BZPower:The revelation that there will be no Vikings sets this year was the biggest shock. :'( :'( :'( :'( BULL SH!T!!!! WHY??????????? >:( All is says is that there won't be Vikings but why not. I swear, that site brings the worst news. The bring pride when they see that all the other LEGO themes have problems. I blame it all on BIONICLE!!!!!! wtf?? The Vikings sets are amazing....why wouldn't Lego release them??? Quote
sam89 Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 I don't know. Hopefully they'll be next year, and better. Quote
Wolf04 Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 But they were shown at that Nurenberg show... Well at least one question was answered...Why weren't the Vikings theme mentioned in the latest press release. Quote
David85 Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 They will come out, and they will this year, easy as that otherwise they wouldn't have wasted the room at the show. But maybe Lego has gotten a half a brain and figured if they can't have Classic Space and Star Wars at the same time then how can they have two Castle themes? Quote
DoubleT Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Well they say it also in the catalougs..... So dont worry dudes... Quote
MattZitron Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Its cool. The Vikings will be here this Autumn as promised. Or me and my Tuskan Raiders army will take down Lego Headquarters!!!!! :X: :X: :X: :X: :X: :X: :X: :X: :X: :X: :X: :X: :X: :X: :X: :X: Quote
Wolf04 Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 You know, we were so busy questioning if the Adventurers theme would be canceled and we were admiring the Vikings sets so much, that we forgot to question whether they will come out. Fate has caught up. But like I've said, maybe bzpower was being stupid and wanted to torture people who hate or don't like Bionicle and buy too much 'traditional' Lego. Quote
Endigo Vandane Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Dino Attack: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=117988 Star Wars pics incl. The Middleman Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Dino Attack is mediocre. I don't like it. Quote
David85 Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Wow those are crap. When I said they could come out very good or very bad Lego desided to go with the very bad. The buggy and hummer are cool, but the raptor is like the same size as the Trex, what the hell is up with that? And look at the faces, they look like they are Alpha Team which would explain why they suck. Quote
snefroe Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 perhaps the TLC is redesigning the Viking theme? Perhaps the first reviews were not good enough? perhaps they resemble the terrible dino theme too much. I mean, the basic theme in both is minifigs fighting monsters... Quote
CopMike Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 I think the cars etc.. looks good/ok BUT the monsters????? *devil* They look non-Lego "put a quarter in the gum-machine" UGLY!!!! I Quote
jindroush Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Or, maybe, Vikings will be Euro only. :^D Quote
sam89 Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 I'm hoping that these sets will be released January 2006, and Lego will have lots of time to improve them before then. They could also add beards :-D Quote
The Middleman Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 LEGO needs to die. They need to die a horrible, painful, awful death for delaying Vikings. Quote
David85 Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 OMG... Is there any proof that the Vikings are delayed? Any at all besides what some megablock site said that doesn't even deal with Legos? Quote
sam89 Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Well they weren't displayed at Toy Fair . . . Quote
The Middleman Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Well they weren't displayed at Toy Fair . . . And BZPower doesn't LIE, so we are forced to draw the awful conclusion. Quote
David85 Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Well they weren't displayed at Toy Fair . . . And BZPower doesn't LIE, so we are forced to draw the awful conclusion. I like BZ is full of more shit than FBTB. If they are delayed good for Lego. They finally see that you can't release two castle themes the same month! Why don't you just ask Mr. X. :| Quote
DoubleT Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 TO ALL I Have from Oficial Sources that the Vikings will come out in 2005. No need to discuss the release date anymore..... ;) The Viking sets are not at the New York Show, because Lego have chosen to Show off, other products. In these InterNet days, news and Pictures spread around the World, from Both N Quote
David85 Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 That's dumb, they still should show it off. I still hope they delay them, it would show they are smaten up. Quote
DoubleT Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 They did already Show them, and Lego has Big Hopes on the Vikings, but mainly in Europe.. Both other places also... And for the sets, I think they are real nice, but should loose the horns ;) Quote
