Bricksandparts Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 OoC: Is somebody gonna do our battle?
RPGer Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Durkon casts lightning on Mr. Noskin from the back row.
Brickdoctor Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 OoC: Is somebody gonna do our battle? GM Note:One at a time, one at a time. We want to avoid automatically played rounds and multiple battles going at the same time to slow down the pace at which battles take place. The Arena is meant to be a fun minigame on the side that doesn't have any significant rewards. Allowing multiple battles to happen at the same time and playing rounds automatically increases the chances that a more experienced player can rapidly beat up on a bunch of weaker players and get loot too fast without doing a lot of work.

It's not an auto-battle, we both posted our actions, but ok...
Brickdoctor Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 It's not an auto-battle, we both posted our actions, but ok... GM Note:No, yours is a case of multiple battles. I just mentioned the auto-battles because they're not being run for the same reason. Sorry, should've made that clearer.
Jebediahs Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Nur entered the arena and added his challenge to the sign-up list as the current match continued... "I, En Sabah Nur (Jebediahs), would like to challenge Lord Lawrence Boomingham (Zepher), to melee combat!"
Zepher Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 <Two questions. Is my Thorny Diadem taken into account here when considering my attacks, and if not, I'd rather take it off and be at full health (35/35). Likewise, do my darkness weapons do double damage because Jebs is a "humanoid", or no?> Boomingham saunters into the Arena, still very drunk, still grinning. Barty whizzes around unhappily, drunkenness is not something that angels can condone. Before anyone can stop him, Boomingham unbuttons his shirt and lets it hang open. Though his chest and stomach are now flabby, it is clear that Boomingham was once in great shape. He roars and licks his lips and steps into the ring. "En Sabah Nur, I accept your challenge!"
Brickdoctor Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 <Two questions. Likewise, do my darkness weapons do double damage because Jebs is a "humanoid", or no?> GM Note:Yes, it is, and yes, they do. There are two battles in line before yours, though, so you'll probably be waiting for a bit.
K-Nut Posted February 27, 2012 Author Posted February 27, 2012 GM Note: I'll be back from my trip in a couple of hours, so I'll get the wins and sign ups updated by then. If I miss anything, just PM me.
Bricksandparts Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Since the current battle hasn't been active for a few days, could we post-pone it and go to the next battle? Or at least auto-play the round?
Brickdoctor Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Since the current battle hasn't been active for a few days, could we post-pone it and go to the next battle? Or at least auto-play the round? GM Note:Sounds fine to me. Endgame hasn't been on in three days. I'll go with the rough twenty-four hour rule of Quests and choose his action this round. Also mention if you want to try to flee, move, heal, or cast a magic spell, or if you want to use an item instead of attacking.
Bricksandparts Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Johon walks back into the Arena, annoyed he hadn't been picked, but not all had been lost. It appeared that the two frightened-of-fighting mages were just jumping around the center of the arena. "End this Sherade!" Johon shouts to Sorrow, cheering him on.
RPGer Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Durkon casts lightning on Mr. Hasskinsomewhere from the back row.
Endgame Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 OOC: Doesn't my critical hit speical (mug) reward me with coins equal to the amount of damage that hit? I was confident about my abilities once gain. I had practically been smelted to a crisp by this pesky Durkon's lightning bolts, but my latest hit seemed to do some damage. I continue to attack Durkon from the front row with my Scythe.
Jedi master Brick Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Elgar sat down at the edge of the arena aiting for his fight drinnking a drink from distant lands called tea. OOC: Doesn't my critical hit speical (mug) reward me with coins equal to the amount of damage that hit? OoC: No, specials can be differnt in the arena

I'm rather busy right now, and Internet's running slowly for me because I'm downloading Windows 8 Beta in the background. Thanks.
