ihira - welcome! Nice collection of old castles. But are you interested in the even older ones? From the '80s?

As for the 6086 Black Knight castle- it's great, I don't have it and on ebay the prices of this set are crazy...

hi, the only older Castles I don't own is the King's 6080 and the Yellow Castle.

I'm not *that* crazy about getting them, unless I find a deal on it. They're aesthetically boring imo after building too many modern Castles.

Some day I will get the 6086 Black Knight's Castle...

I've got just about every castle set ever made. Yes the older castles are boring and I have the oldest ones disassembled in boxes right now to protect them from light. Currently I am missing 21 sets out of 500 or so castle sets ever made.

A few I am missing are copies of previous sets with a new set number. I can't bring myself to spend a lot on the same set released with a different set number. The others are obscure sets sold at gas stations or exclusives to other coutries. These are really hard to find. Not sure I will ever aquire those? Right now I would rather spend money on current LEGO sets where I get more pieces for my money. MOCing changed me from a collector to a mass consumption kinda guy.

Thats a really fantastic collection of castles you have, its great to see them all together. Don't give up hope on 6086, I was able to get mine off ebay for a reasonable price. Ebay is a lottery but prices tend to fluctuate greatly.

I was wondering if you owned 6074 Black Falcon's fortress? I think its probably one of the smallest castles but I would definitely count it as a castle and a fine one to. Its smaller than 6080 but is more aesthetically pleasing with the thatched tudor keep at the back.

First of all, hi to everyone :)

I've been lurking around for some time the Historic Themes and Pirate Themes forums of Eurobricks but only now I've decided to join in hehe :)

Anyway, awesome collection ihira!

I presently have the King's Castle Siege and the Black Falcon's Fortress as my only castles, and I was looking to buy the next one.

I wanted a "fairy castle", and I was thing about the King's Castle 10176, 6090 Royal Knight's Castle, or maybe even King Leo's Castle (I know, most here will say sacrilege for putting those two castles next to 6090 hehe)...

Since you have the King's Castle, what do you think of it? I've read several reviews of it, but most people are disapointed with it.

Since your favorite castle is King's Castle Siege (which is my own as well :D ), I'm very interested in your sincere opinion of the 10176 King's Castle.

Once again, great collection, and I wish you posted more photos of it! :)

I feel like this is a support group for AFOL's coming out of the Dark Ages. I am 24, and I hit it hard again this past year after a brief return to the Dark (I came out at my senior in college with the Stormtrooper Battle Pack, and returned briefly while I was looking for a job, and generally being an adult.) Now, I think I probably spend $300 a year or so on LEGO. It is all about balance. I do know what you mean about pressure from the other half though...I should be fine as long as I keep it organized, but I have had to switch to set archiving instead of display. :sceptic:
