Paul Boratko Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 That is fantastic! I know Eric puts a lot of Time, Pride and Devotion into his website... I have had a few custom shirts made with his website's logo on them... Quote
basbase Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 This is a very nice acknowledgement of Blakbird's extensive work . Maybe this will prompt him to add 1996 . Quote
grepin Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Congrats to both Technicopedia and TechnicBRICKs! And congrats to LEGO, for giving the AFOL community another token of recognition Quote
Blakbird Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Today i was looking at the dutch site of lego.com/technic and I noticed that there is a new setup of the page. looking at it I notice that Blakbird's technopedia is listed as a direct link congratulation Blakbird Wow! Thank you for mentioning this because I did not even know about this link. It is indeed a huge honor. I was always under the impression that LEGO would not link to outside sites for liability reasons (they could be blamed for directing kids to something inappropriate). I see that they have a disclaimer when you click the link. I have never heard anything directly from LEGO about whether or not they liked my site or even knew about it, but apparently they do. Thanks LEGO! This is a very nice acknowledgement of Blakbird's extensive work . Maybe this will prompt him to add 1996 . Good point. I admit to feeling very guilty that it has been so long since my last update. I look at the nice things people have written about my site and how much it means to them, and I know I should be working on it more. I could make a lot of excuses about life changes, but obviously I'm still spending plenty of time on LEGO in one way or another. I guess I just need to make the site a priority again. One issue is that I no longer have a "photo studio" area so it is hard to find a place to take the pictures. But I'll have to find a way. I've had 1996 half done for over a year. Quote
KRI76 Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Blackbirds pages are gold! What an impressive effort of his... Quote
Conchas Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Indeed, at Technic in the past they didn't want to link to external websites (out of lego.com), despite it was done at least at the Mindstorms product line. Something might have changed in between, which is cool. Quote
Anio Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Bravo Eric ! It is indeed a great honor to be on THE Lego website. Regarding the photos, I agree. It's a real pain to make good and clear photos. Especially when we do not have a great photo equipment. :/ Quote
PlaneCrazy Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Congrates to both of you. I have to admitt Blackbird's web site is primarily rsponsible for myself getting back into Technic Lego. Jamie Quote

Jamie Ditto Though I have already persecuted him for such an expensive turn in my life. As always I am happy to help in any way that I can. Quote

Zerobricks Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 See, even Lego themself recognise you! You deserve it! Besides, you are their top technic buyer, you bought all? Quote
DLuders Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Congratulations, Eric! Your website is very useful to a lot of people. Nevertheless, I wanted to send this subliminal message to you: Quote
