Brickdoctor Posted April 2, 2012 Author Posted April 2, 2012 Jeez, that Snake Pit is intense stuff. But the drops are fantastic (to a level 15 Mystic noob). Yeah, the Snake Pit is a great mid-level dungeon. You do Spider Den to learn how to do a dungeon, but Snake Pit will really teach you the techniques needed to solo dungeon bosses and gods, and it'll reward you with a guaranteed Spd pot. Basically, you want to weave a zig-zag through the breakable walls, never breaking all the squares, so you can use them for cover from the little snakes. The medium size snakes can be easily rushed past or kited. (attract them, pull back, wait until they stop, shoot holes in them) The big snakes are easy if you know they're in the room. Circle around the edge of the room and all the big snakes will accumulate in a big pile in the middle that you can just continually circle and shoot into, taking no Damage. (unless they're right in front of the breakable wall you're entering from, in which case you'll want to kite) When you get to Stheno, the first phase is the daggers. Simply squeeze between the daggers closest to you. The second phase is the small snakes. If you're a Necro, this is an opportunity to hit everything with your skull and get back to 100% HP. Otherwise, same as the dagger phase. The third phase is the snowballs and the bombs. Get a feel for how fast you need to circle and how far from Stheno you need to be in order to never get hit by a snowball. The bomb will always be fired at you, not where you're predicted to be, so if you're circling, it'll never be a problem. The snowballs inflict Blind, and if you don't know what you're doing, it's best to pull out when blinded and wait until vision returns to normal before you engage again. Stheno is only vulnerable for a little bit in each phase, so you want to lay down a constant stream of fire to get the most hits in. If you soloing, you can of course always pull back to one of the four walls providing cover and wait to regain HP and MP. Just constantly be moving so that the pets don't sneak up on you or hit you with Slow. Quote
Flipz Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 When dealing with the spider den boss, do you guys wait for the web to despawn before attacking? When I solo'd a den as Warrior I basically did that and did lots of space-autofire-retreat and heal. Quote
Costy Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Sorry to bother you, but I'm having the 2048 error when trying to play. Does anyone know how to fix it? I'm using Chrome. Quote
CMP Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I made a mule account (CallMePieM), so the way I see it, I just need an officer on to invite the account to the guild and add its stats to the guild board? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 2, 2012 Author Posted April 2, 2012 When dealing with the spider den boss, do you guys wait for the web to despawn before attacking? When I solo'd a den as Warrior I basically did that and did lots of space-autofire-retreat and heal. I use a long range class with a T9 weapon, so I just jump in and shoot the MegaBloks out of Arachna. I remember last year I did do it a couple times with Knight, but I wouldn't wait for the web to go away. Jump in, Stun Arachna, pump shots into her, back off to regain HP, wash, rinse, repeat. Sorry to bother you, but I'm having the 2048 error when trying to play. Does anyone know how to fix it? I'm using Chrome. Is it constant? I think Sisco was initially having this problem. Try the standard fixes, clearing cookies and cache first. Then try turning off your firewall or other security settings. If all else fails, try playing through Kongregate or Steam. Sisco, how did you solve it? Or did it just work when you got your computer back from the reset? (or whatever it is you had done to it) I made a mule account (CallMePieM), so the way I see it, I just need an officer on to invite the account to the guild and add its stats to the guild board? Only if you want others to access it. You can PM Skipper or myself the login details. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 2, 2012 Author Posted April 2, 2012 Apri/ 1, 2012: Life in Build 122 Realm of the Mad God: 8 (Deaths of Known Active Players: TLSisco: 2+1 Suicide, CallMePie: 1+1 Suicide*, Hornblower: 1, Emorith: 1, PoisonKate: 1 Suicide, Brickdoctr: 0) Eurobricks Guild: 3 (Oryx Surivivals: TLSisco: 2, Hornblower: 1*) *Unconfirmed Amidst all the foolery of the day, both on EB and on RotMG, the Eurobricks Guild did pretty well. There were only three known suicides among only eight deaths. The obsession with rolling seems to be spreading, though... Skipper and Doc finished in the lead with an overall score of +0, with PoisonKate close behind with only one suicide. Yay for suiciding! Yay for rerolling! Yay for a final overall score of only -5! Yay for applesauce and sausages and jerks and jagoffs and burning nipples and profanity mad-libs! Skipper had the greatest Guild Fame gain, at +325. CallMePie continues to gain a good amount of Guild Fame, but Sisco matched his pace and passed Flipz. The race is heating up in the middle of the pack. Juicy Gossip of the Day: Multiple sources have told the author that Harkshire smells like poo. Quote
Donut Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Is there a time when all of you get together to play? I have attempted to play the game by myself on Kongregate but it is more fun with a group. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 2, 2012 Author Posted April 2, 2012 Is there a time when all of you get together to play? I have attempted to play the game by myself on Kongregate but it is more fun with a group. Around 5pm EST, I believe. No real set time. Sisco and Pie are usually on around that time, and Skipper and I are on and off throughout the day. Kate and B&P are usually on earlier. What's your username and what server are you on?Also, I killed a Penta and got a Dex from it, which isn't much, but it's my first pot from a Penta and the first Dex that's ever dropped for me (since I hate Sprite World and never go in), so I'm pretty happy about that. Donut Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 (edited) My account name is DarkCl0ud, it is linked to my Kongregate account. I played on the default server, which I believe is US West. Edited April 2, 2012 by Donut Quote

What times are you usually on? You can also try to /tell Brickdoctr whenever you're online to see if I am. Quote

Being new to this, I don't have a fixed schedule yet. I can try to make the 5pm eastern time slot that you mentioned in the earlier post. Do I have to be on the same server as you to receive/send a message? Quote

Do I have to be on the same server as you to receive/send a message? No, /tell is cross-server. I'm on now and can invite you. I'm on EUNorth2 near the pets, if you know how to change servers, or I can go to USWest. You really don't need to be on at that exact time. EB is an international site, so there're people on at all different times.Got Att from O1. Went back to O1. Got a MegaBlokin' Elder! I'm so pumped right now. Quote
Donut Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I am online right now, but the game will not let me use the /tell command, the error message is "only named account can use /tell". I am logged onto the game via Kongregate, so I do have a legitimate account name. Quote

Not sure why Kong doesn't assign one, but go to the gold statue in the beginning of the Nexus and set one. Quote
Donut Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Sorry for the trouble, I went into the gold thing (the vault?) but I didn't see anything that can change my name. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 2, 2012 Author Posted April 2, 2012 Sorry for the trouble, I went into the gold thing (the vault?) but I didn't see anything that can change my name. Not the portal, the statue. It's in the same area, on the left side. Quote
K-Nut Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Sorry for the trouble, I went into the gold thing (the vault?) but I didn't see anything that can change my name. I had the same issue when I joined, it's player sized, if that helps. Quote
Flipz Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 OK, I can't hold back any longer--rage break over! If anyone has spare Wizard stuff, that'd be great thanks. I'm on now, ready to powerlevel. Quote

I'm on now, ready to powerlevel. I put a RHeart and Steel Helm in your vault the other day, but those aren't exactly appropriate. I think there's still an Invoker, Destruction, and Sup Att on my freebie mule.By the way, welcome to the guild, Donut! Quote
CMP Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Ugh, sorry guys. I was lagging like mad when I got into Oryx's Castle, and that is one place I do not want to lag. Quote
Donut Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I had the same issue when I joined, it's player sized, if that helps. I was looking for a portal the whole time, didn't realize that it was an NPC avatar/character. I had a lot of fun, thanks to all for letting me tag along. I hit level 15, but unfortunately I died to a mermaid monster. Oh well, will have to try again . Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 3, 2012 Author Posted April 3, 2012 After I killed a Penta for 1 Att+1 Spd, I did O1 with Flipz and CMP, and got Def and Veng. Seriously, I feel invincible now. Best day of my RotMG career thus far. Also got to see a guy showing off the duck-shooting staff from April Fools. That was hilarious. Quote
Flipz Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 Let the record show that I had to Nexus out of Oryx's castle just before the O1 portal appeared. Also, I'm at Level 19 and absolutely terrified to train with high-experience foes. Oh, the irony of getting to 20 on snakes and scorpions. Oh, do Fame bonuses like "Friend of the Cubes" count only starting from Level 20? Because if so, I am totally avoiding the cubes, even tho I accidentally killed one back at Level 10. Oh, also: to get to 19, I solo'd a bit of godlands. Crazy stuff, but I'm gaining confidence, once I go back to Warrior (or possibly Knight if I feel lucky) I'll be golden in godlands. Quote
