Brickdoctor Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 Costy's a Level 20 wizzy, and he hasn't died yet. I managed to go through a Forbidden Jungle with my Necro, though! (A Spanish-speaking Warrior accompanied me. He Nexused out right before the god, so I had to solo the god, got a sweet ring for it!) Out of all the dungeons I've played so far, Forbidden Jungle is my fav. Great! Always good to see newer players doing so well. Yeah, Jungle's one of my favorites, too. Mostly because it can be rushed in a couple minutes and drops decent loot. I think I like UDL better, though. Quote
Poison Ivy Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Got a +16 HP roll and a +20 MP roll at Level 13 on my Priest. Might be sticking with this one for a while. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Sorry I haven't been on lately, I'll see if anyone else is on now. see you there... Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 Got a +16 HP roll and a +20 MP roll at Level 13 on my Priest. Might be sticking with this one for a while. Nice. Fingers crossed for a roll just as good when you get to Level 20. I've had +30 HP rolls at Level 10 fall into the negatives by Level 20. Fame farming is going well. I had thought this might take me a month, but I got to 400 Fame with Pally and Warrior earlier today, so I may hit 39 Stars faster than I thought. Quote
K-Nut Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 (edited) I'm on right now as a Level 10 Sorcerer and I should be on most of the night if anyone wants to monster slay. Or chat as Doc, CMP and I did the other night. Doc, you also left off the C on the front of CMP's mule email address. Edited April 4, 2012 by K-nut Quote
Flipz Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 (edited) Hopping on for a bit! EDIT: Ooh, lag + Skull god got Emorith... Edited April 5, 2012 by Flipz Quote
K-Nut Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 EDIT: Ooh, lag + Skull god got Emorith... Yup... I think Sorcerer is my new priest! I can't seem to get to Level 15 with him! Quote
Poison Ivy Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Anyone else on? I can't seem to find Flipz...... Also, made it to lvl 20 with Priest on my first try since the two epic fails of three days ago! Can't wait to play Necro, but can't bring myself to kill this guy off. Quote
Flipz Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 God I hate spider dens, and this one's even worse since Knight has like zero Vitality. Quote
Poison Ivy Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 God I hate spider dens, and this one's even worse since Knight has like zero Vitality. Ehh, lvl 20 Priest basically obliterates them. Quote
Flipz Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Ehh, lvl 20 Priest basically obliterates them. try it with a Level 7 Knight. Quote
Poison Ivy Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 try it with a Level 7 Knight. Haven't unlocked Knight yet. Also, +25 HP roll at Lvl 20! Sqeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!! No MP bonus, though..... Quote
Flipz Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Knight feels like the devs sat down and figured out how exactly to make the worst class EVER, and then made us play through it to get Paladin. Quote
Sisco Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Not a good day for my Pally... He got shotgunned by a cyclops god. So I'm a wizzy now, trying to unlock Necro. EDIT: Survived Oryx, so that puts my score back to 0 for today. Lagged out in a spider den, so I think I'm going to call it quits for tonight. Quote
Flipz Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Well, that was a truly terrible day. -1 Necro, didn't make 20. -1 Knight, died at Level 1. -1 Knight, died at Oryx's Castle Level 19 due to lag. >_< -1 Knight, died Level 1. So now I'm ragebreaking until someone levels my Knight to 20. Oh, FYI! If you use my account for the Knight, the Sword in my Vault is off-limits, it's reserved for Paladin and/or Warrior only. No sense losing a good sword on a class I can't do well with. Quote
Donut Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 I wandered into the spider den as a level 5 the other day, what level do you need to be to clear it? Quote
Flipz Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 I wandered into the spider den as a level 5 the other day, what level do you need to be to clear it? Long range class? With good dodging and kiting, Level 7 should be alright if you take things slow, only activate one spider egg at a time, and kite, kite, kite when things chase you. (You'll also want to park your char in a safe spot in the boss chamber (look for the L-shape with its corner facing the center of the room and hide behind it) and wait until the obnoxious spiderwebs despawn.) Melee class? Don't bother. It'll take forever, and you'll likely die at the boss anyway. This is for soloing, if you've got a group with 2 or 3 high-level allies you can just hang back and let them obliterate it. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 5, 2012 Author Posted April 5, 2012 Ehh, lvl 20 Priest basically obliterates them. If Level 20 Priest obliterates them, Level 20 Necro with decent equips is pure annihilation. Crack open all the eggs in a room, hit 'em with a couple shots from the skull, and the room is cleared with you at full HP in under ten seconds. Knight feels like the devs sat down and figured out how exactly to make the worst class EVER, and then made us play through it to get Paladin. Knight's strength is the high Def cap. Unfortunately, that means that unless you max Def, Knight is much less of a tank than you would imagine it would be. I wandered into the spider den as a level 5 the other day, what level do you need to be to clear it? Long range? Level 1. It's all in the dodging... You can solo Red Demons with Level 1 Wizzys if you know how to dodge well. Quote

Crack open all the eggs in a room, hit 'em with a couple shots from the skull, and the room is cleared with you at full HP in under ten seconds. IF you have a good skull. I was stuck with crap skulls and staff as Necro, so I failed epically under fire. Ah, I see about Knight. Well, since I never pot characters, Knight is completely useless to me. Maybe once I get Pally, since I've heard they're excellent for pot farming. ...that came out completely wrong. Graak! I can't recognize my own posts with this avatar! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 5, 2012 Author Posted April 5, 2012 IF you have a good skull. I was stuck with crap skulls and staff as Necro, so I failed epically under fire. You can still do Spider Den at Level 1 if you kite, hit and run, and dodge well.April 4, 2012: Moar Faaaaaaaame! Realm of the Mad God: 12 (Deaths: LegoFlipz: 4, Brickdoctr: 1+2 Suicides, TLSisco: 1, Emorith: 1, ADonut: 1*, BrickCosty: 1*, Hornblower: 1*) Eurobricks Guild: 1 (Oryx Survivals: TLSisco: 1) *Unconfirmed Death was the story of the day for the guild, but with death comes Fame. Flipz died the most, enabling him to pull ahead of the middle of the pack in the Fame race, and he's gaining on B&P. Doc gained on Skipper through Fame farming, accumulating 933 Fame, while Skipper himself gained 634 Fame. BrickCosty's first death raked in 205 Fame and thrust him right into the Fame race. Overall, the guild finished with a pitiful score of -11. Sisco was the overall winner, with a score of +0. Quote
Flipz Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Oh, wow...epic way to get bonus Fame on death... You know the achievement "thirsty", for never drinking a potion? Well, that's not quite true... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FelYRgux3DI Drop your potions on the ground before drinking. Granted, this isn't going to work in, say, godlands or Oryx's castle. But if you can pull it off, that's +25% Fame! Definitely going to try it when I come back from this ragebreak. Depending on whether or not I have a Paladin available when I come back, I may try to run a Mundane, Thirsty knight up to Level 20 to go after Paladin. Actually... Alright, I REALLY don't want to do Knight again. But if I have to, I am going to try for a challenge: *Thirsty (never drank a potion from inventory) *Mundane (never used an ability) *Friend of the Cubes (never killed a cube) HOWEVER...if Paladin is unlocked for me when I come back from ragebreak, I will start another Knight, with the same above challenge, but also adding: *Sniper (75% accuracy--more on that in a sec) *Boots on the Ground (never teleported) *I will gain all experience to get to Level 20 by replaying the Tutorial over, and over, and over, and over. *I will attempt to gain 400 Fame (this may or may not occur entirely within the Tutorial, I'll have to find out if running the Tutorial will gain Fame at all. Less than 1 Fame per 5 Tutorial runs is unacceptable, and means that after Level 20 I will venture out into the Realms). Sounds crazy, right? Well, stay tuned folks, because this WILL happen! But remember, the last four will ONLY happen if Paladin is available to me when I come back! (In case you're curious, I have a sure-fire way to get Sniper, and it'll happen once I get the requisite Fame needed. As you might have guessed, it's tied to the Tutorial.) Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 5, 2012 Author Posted April 5, 2012 That's similar to what I do for Fame Farming. I start a new char, drop all his equips, and stand in a godlands train until I get to 186 Fame. After Pacifist, Thirsty, Mundane, and Friend of the Cubes, I get 400 Fame. You can use the Fame Achievement Calculator to set a goal. Type the amount of Fame you want in the second field, check all the achievements you plan to get, and the amount of Base Fame needed appears in the first field. I just did that for my Knight yesterday. Maybe I'll go do yours sometime today. Not to 400 Fame, but to Level 20. Shouldn't take more than five minutes. And if accuracy boosting in the tutorial is what you want, aim at a turret and turn on auto-fire. Leave it there for twenty minutes. (the length of time you have before you're logged out for inactivity) Quote
Poison Ivy Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 (edited) Fun fact of the day: If you buy Tan Clothing Dye and Tan Accessory Dye for a Necro, it looks like he's naked except for the belt. BTW, killed my Priest to get to Necro and earned 60 Fame for it! Definitely loving Necro so far, can't wait to see what I can do with a better skull. Also, what do Drake Eggs do? I'm thinking of buying one with the Fame I've accumulated so far, but I don't want to unless I know what they do... Edited April 5, 2012 by Poison Ivy Quote

Also, what do Drake Eggs do? I'm thinking of buying one with the Fame I've accumulated so far, but I don't want to unless I know what they do... Did you actually buy the dyes, or just see the previews in the Nexus? Because those dyes don't carry over to your next char after you die, and the only way to get Gold is to pay real money for it.They summon a drake that fights with you for thirty to sixty seconds. The more expensive drakes have more powerful status effects, such as healing you or paralyzing and enemy. See here. If you get one as a drop, they're not bad items, but I don't think they're worth the Fame. The only thing worth buying for Fame is the Amulet. Everything else is very temporary and doesn't make much of a difference outside of fighting O1 and O2 with a group of pros. Quote
Skipper Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 . . . the last four will ONLY happen if Paladin is available to me when I come back! I said I would do it already! Stop pressuring me! Anyone else here use Muledump? I'm interested to see what you all have. Here's mine, which I'm pretty proud of, although it's miniscule compared to these. Quote
