Got a fair bit of loot from Oryx today. Roc Leather Armor, Timelock Orb and an attack pot. This Mystic is my longest living character, as she is a month old.

Interesting ROTMG News.

You may have heard the news, Wild Shadow has been recently acquired by Kabam! This is an awesome thing: basically meaning that we will have more resources to put behind the game and more room to flex our game-making arms. Willem is going to continue to head the project as game designer and will be making sure that Realm stays true to its roots, stays awesome, and stays centered around you guys (our amazing community). His game-plan is to keep expanding realm, add new dungeons, expand the guild system, add some high-level content, and maybe even new classes.

Hopefully they keep the game similar to what it is now.

Interesting. Well, Willem's been doing a good job so far, so hopefully this is onwards and upwards for RotMG. As long as the core mechanics stay pretty much the same, I think I'll be happy.

Occasionally, I started playing a bit again, but didn't raise stats, but muled everything away.

While I was in the kitchen and the character stood at the beach, Oryx called us. I returned in time to fight the guardians. The battle against Oryx began. We were't many, and pretty much noone danced him. As the battle continued, everyone either died or left. Everyone, that is exept me and a guy named Myguy. And despite the fact that Oryx continuesly summoned minions, and that a shot of my necro roughly dealt 10-20 damage, we made it to kill him. It took some time, but it was fun.

I think a lot of us are busy with other stuff, though. As far as I know, Nihilus is the only one still actively playing.

During the summer I do more stuff outside of the house so when I get back I'm too tired to fight with Oryx. Also, I started getting bored (blasphemy! ) of the game a couple weeks ago so I just quit.

But heck, I'll come online now and level a wizard or something.

Wizards seem cool since they can deal more dam than the nec. I'm not yet sure how to play them effectively, though.

When I have more time, I think I'm going to max a Priest as my main. A 4/8 Priest with CWand, Divine, Elder, and Para HP is awesome. I can do pretty much everything other than Tomb and O2 with it. (which is where I died with my last one)

Which four did you max?

4/8s are almost always Def, Att, Spd, Dex. Life and Mana are too expensive for a char that you just plan to farm with and do easy- to medium- difficulty events and dungeons, and Vit and Wis don't make enough of a difference.

The only reasons to max a 6/8, 7/8, or 8/8 are because you're rich enough to afford to lose one (pros), because you want to have one to take out every now and then (me), or because you're in a situation where you know there's a very low chance of death and you want to have all the advantages you can get. (dedicated healer who sits back in a corner at O2, for example)

5/8s aren't that bad nowadays. The buff to Vit makes it fairly reasonable if you can dodge well enough for it to make a difference, and Wis is still useful.

Yup, I'm still addicted. Got on intending to check out the lag and roll a Priest, ended up taking out my 7/8 Necro to clear the realm and rush the Castle. The lag was kinda bad, though, so I got off before I did something stupid. Now I need to find time to play this game again...

As am I. For the American independence day today, there are firecrackers selling in the Nexus. Small for 50 gold and Large for 100 gold. Skip and I made the mistake of not noticing they're soulbound.
