I saw this topic over in the Pirates forum and I thought it would be interesting to have one of our own to see just how much of our Lego budget flows into Mr. Lucas' pocket. So go to your Brickset collections and do the math!

For me, it's about 17%. Not bad, but not as high as I thought it would be.

So, how about you, hm? :yoda:

92%! It was LEGO Star Wars that brought me out of my Dark Ages two years ago, and I pretty much stuck with it. But with DC Superheroes out now and Marvel Superheroes and LOTR/Hobbit right around the corner, that numer may be dropping a little bit. But no matter what, my collection will always be majority Star Wars! :yoda:

I'd have to say somewhere between 40 and 60%. I know that's a big gap but I think going for minfigs it would be 40% but sets it would have to be 60%.

It's 98% for me.... I have the Black Pearl 4184 and the Space shuttle 10213 that's it... The rest are all STAR WARS sets from UCS to MINI'S...

i forgot i have a few others

The % may vary a lot if you consider the set or the parts.

For example, a big UCS may be equivalent to many battle packs.

So, you should reword the question to make it more specific. ;)

A measly 17%. *huh* Am I even sure that I'm part of the right forum?

Please! I have about 60 Star Wars sets, and I'm only at about 11 or 12%. :oh: And Star Wars is one of my biggest themes!

When I take my pre-dark ages lego in account, it's about 60% I estimate. From the sets I bought after my dark ages, around 25, only 3 were non-SW, from Alien Conquest to be precise.

I would have been 100% if it wasn't for about 5 or 6 Toy Story soldier BP's I bought when they were on sale, I just fancied the look of that set, but kind of figured that I bet this set goes up a lot in price in the future for modern army lego collectors seeing as no official modern army theme exists. And oh yes an original Space theme base from the 70's that I bought on a whim from ebay to see if I could utilise it for SW mocs.

Aside from that I'm totally a SW only buyer (until LOTR arrives that is  ), I was planning to buy the superhero sets until I saw them and have put of really with maybe one or two exceptions (that fun house one looks really good and at a great price to).

I did have the UCS Batmobile set in my hand in the shop once ready to buy, as it was on for half price, but *stupidly* I decided against it on the basis that one theme was expensive enougth.... (I try to avoid looking at what price it fetches nowdays as it will only bring me anguish... )

I guess close to 99% is SW if you are counting official sets... The only non-SW set I own is "Emerald Night".

Then, of course, I have a lot of bricks from elsewhere...

100% dedicated to increasing the bank balance of a well-known film director!

In all seriousness, there's so much Lego available I've decided to restrict myself to SW, otherwise it would get far too expensive (and overwhelm my hobby room). I did purchase one Technic set last year, but sold it so that I could re-invest the money in other SW sets.

So far it's 100%. The only non SW Lego I have are two robots from the Minifigure Collection series.

I am pondering whether I should start to collect the LotR minifigures only or not but I'm not decided so far.

Wow, there are a lot of devoted SW collectors among us!

One thing you guys have to consider when doing the math is that Brickset doesn't count multiples when it shows you the number of Star Wars sets you own, so you have to divide it by the number of different sets that you own, not the overall number.

Then where did you get all those Atlantis pieces for your Ackbar vehicles?
