the enigma that is badger Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 With 2012 just getting started, I thought I'd share some fun sneak peaks into what exciting news from BrickArms the year has in store for everyone! First off, Will Chapman recently unveiled four new prototypes all based on Russian WWII weaponry: Mosin-Nagant Sniper Rifle SVT-40 Rifle DP-28 LMG Tokarev TT-33 Pistol Second, Will recently posted this intriguing image: That is a first article sprue direct from Will's molder! First articles are injections of production molds as they are being developed to test the quality of the cavities in the mold. In this case, everything looked absolutely great to Will, so that mold is now at his molder, hard at work producing accessories for the next release of new BrickArms accessories which is currently scheduled for 2/10/2012. Still, the above is only the beginning of what Will currently has in development, so make sure to watch for more updates from BrickArms has the year rolls on! Quote
sharky Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Excellent. I like the wood tone that the black color gives to the SVT-40. Quote
Ceroknight Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 They are very brilliant! Hopefully I can try to get some of those Quote
Commander Assassin Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Wow, these look great! My favorite would have to be the DP-28, it looks amazing overmolded. And all those M-16s! I will have to make a BrickArms order in February! Quote
Markypops Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 New Brickarms a day after my birthday. Just a shame that I am beyond that age where people give you cash! Probably be socks again! Quote
morganm Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 DP 28 is freak'n sweeeet! Does the bipod come with it or separately? Does the ammo canister on top come off? If it comes off... is it any standard sized pin / hole so that the canister can be easily used elsewhere OR something else be stuck on top of the gun? Thanks! Quote
WhiteFang Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Indeed it looks great! Can't wait to see what you guys is releasing for 2012. Quote
the enigma that is badger Posted January 20, 2012 Author Posted January 20, 2012 DP 28 is freak'n sweeeet! Does the bipod come with it or separately? Does the ammo canister on top come off? If it comes off... is it any standard sized pin / hole so that the canister can be easily used elsewhere OR something else be stuck on top of the gun? Glad you like the DP-28! To answer your questions: - I'm not sure if Will plans to include the Bipod with the DP-28 should the DP-28 see mass production. - Yes, the ammo drum is removable!: However, I don't believe that's a standard sized connection. I'm unfortunately without any brick right now, so it's impossible for me to test the use of the DP-28 ammo drum any further. It is easily removable from the DP-28, though, and can spin! Indeed it looks great! Can't wait to see what you guys is releasing for 2012. Thanks, I'll be sure to pass on your kind words to Will! And rest assured, when there's new BrickArms new to report, I'll certainly be posting it here! Quote
morganm Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Cool, thanks for the quick response Badger. Not like the bipod is a deal breaker or anything; I just saw it depicted in the photos so was naturally curious. If you get a chance to play with the ammo drum connections please respond but if not... no big deal... I'll just have to get one myself and find out right? =) Quote
