CorneliusMurdock Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 One last question: Do these MOCs have to be screen accurate? For example, mine had like 5 seconds of screen time, so can I draw stuff from the books and well as my imagination? They should reflect the space as portrayed in the books and/or films. These are supposed to be your interpretations of it. Have fun, but it should be recognizable in some way. Quote
Geertos13 Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Ooh a community build! That's awesome! Great, one of the best ones is open yet, that is to say my personal favorite #15 - The Fat lady's Portrait Hall - 32x32 And, as Pottermore pointed out to me, I am a Ravenclaw This is going to give such awesome things! jhc2nmfn Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Is this full alreaady? Can i do a room? Do we just build it at home with our bricks and take pictures of it? Quote
TheKingOfBuilding Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 I just "slyther-ized" my avatar to be more appropriate for the Community Build. I know the photo isn't the best, but i'll retake it in the daytime. You can use tan, but mix it with grey. That might give an "old castle" feel to your room. Surely combining old and new greys would give more of a "old castle" feel than tan and new grey walls Quote

Yes, build it a home, and upload it to Flickr or some other website and post it on a topic. I just "slyther-ized" my avatar to be more appropriate for the Community Build. I'll have to think about it. Your avatar looks great! Now for me to change mine! Quote

jhc2nmfn Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 It's open. You're added. I am assuming were taking pictures of these and sending them in correct? so with that being said should it be more of a view of the room from one wall or from the top. Ex. i have the charms room, so should i make the room have all four walls and take a picture from the top of it or would it be better to give the room 3 walls and take a picture from the view point of the missing wall like your looking in. I found this hard to explain so if it doesnt make sense i apologize. Quote

If yours is square, I would do three walls. Sorry if this isn't clear. Quote

operrier Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 (edited) I'm in Hufflepuff and I'll try to do the Hufflepuff Common Room using my imagination as it was never shown in the movies or the books. I was just wondering if we need to do 2, 3 or 4 walls ?? And is there a height to respect ? And do we have to use a special type of platform ? Edited January 18, 2012 by operrier Quote

It's the room in the final movie/book where the remaining good students are hiding out from the bad teachers. Please sign up for a room before you build it. I'd hate to see someone build something first and then not be able to use it when someone else signs up ahead of them. If there are still open spots after everyone who wants to participate signs up, we may consider letting some people do another. I'm hoping it won't be necessary, though. It looks like we've gotten a great response so far. Quote

It's a real shame to see that such great locations are not yet taken. In case the situation remains I could take Ravenclaw Common Room since my Umbridge Office is almost done. I can't wait to see the office! If all the spots aren't filled up soon, those that are done will have another chance. We'll just have to see what happens. Quote

CorneliusMurdock Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 i can not find number 37 where is it? 37 is one of the Rooms of Requirement which is represented by the number 29 on the map. I think that's what you mean. Quote

chucker Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 (edited) Seeing as no one else has taken the Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff Hideout I think I'll have a go at it.
