Might I ask you what you mean by a 4L long U joint?

I mean the older veriosn of U joint, which was common before the new 3 stud one.

@ Ishc-viss-j: In the model I built using Zblj's LDD building instructions, I used one 9244 "Technic, Universal Joint 4L" (4-studs-long, shown in the first picture below) and one 61903 "Technic, Universal Joint 3L" (3-studs-long, second picture below) to make the rear driveshaft fit:
