Just before the licensed forums get flooded with the Hogwarts Community Build (which of course, I will enter  ) I decided to post my Honeydukes Sweetshop which I made about a week ago but never got round to taking the photos. As normal and innocent it may look from the front, the interior hosts a whole lot more details!

Here is the full view of the exterior showing the light bricks in action, some piles of snow on the roof,

and those fabulous new brick-bricks for detail.

Honeydukes is obviously very popular with the Hogwarts students . In this scene, students are looking at the rows of colourful sweets and treats as Harry walks out of the shop hidden in his invisibility cloak.

The second half of the shop is the storeroom with Ron sneakily eating a fair portion of the Chocolate Frog stock and the trapdoor to the secret passage to Hogwarts.

In front of the light bricks, there is an office for the owner and even more crates of sweets, waiting to be unpacked.

And a view of the whole back.

I hope you liked my Honeydukes Sweetshop and all of the photos can be viewed full size in my flickr stream here. Remember to look out for my community build Chamber Of Secrets which I have just started and will hopefully be on Eurobricks very soon!

And finally a little comparison photo of my Honeydukes and the official set, with a famous quote from another film:

"I am your father"

This is such a cool MOC! Amazing!

You know what you should do? You should enter the winter contest with this MOC!

Thanks, I would enter it but it isn't really in the style of the winter village line and I only found out about the contest after you mentioned it to me (the rules state it has to be a new model that hasn't already been posted)

Better be careful though, that chair is awfully close to the heater.

With the snowy weather in Hogsmeade, I'd have thought a chair right next to a heater would be a good thing.

Great little (or do I say big) build you have here. I love Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. I always enjoy seeing builds from there.

This definitely captures the essence of what Hogsmeade is all about. I hope to see more in the future. And I hope to build some of my own.

I like the trapdoor and the windows.

Keep it up!

What a lovely MOC! superb use of the new "brick bricks" for detailing and I love the narrow windows under the dormers on the top level. Your snow effect is also very subtle but realistic.

Is that a transparent green skull head I can see? could anyone tell me what set that's from?

Yes that is a transparent green skull you see, and it is found in one belville set.

Really great ! Much better than the official set. I wish LEGO had done a Hogsmeade exclusive set like for Diagon Alley.

We all wish LEGO would do a Hogsmeade exclusive set
