Siegfried Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Urgh... who took off my clothes... ... I would like to gingerly smell the puddle of blood and then go around smelling everyone else to see if the scent matches anybody. ...ahhghh! Stay away! Bring back the demons! Chapter 1 Challenge Eeeek! This place is scary! Sad to say, I can't do this. Doing speed building at 2 AM will result in a divorce... not that I'd know that being a ravishing adventurer... OK, I'll give it a go, but if someone who has no relation to me gets a divorce it's Bad Kama for you! Ooops sorry, I meant Khama... Challenge Begin
Hinckley Posted January 16, 2012 Author Posted January 16, 2012 I assume having the right colors isn't necessary as long as you can tell how it's built? *The colors may help you to fully solve the puzzle. The pieces do make one creation, but none of you will be the first to build it. *
Shadows Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Do I still have my gun, oh great voice in the sky? Challenge ... some kind of janitor's pushcart thingy. I have no parts available, I'm currently trapped in a temple full of demons and don't have time to play with toys.
Hinckley Posted January 16, 2012 Author Posted January 16, 2012 Do I still have my gun, oh great voice in the sky? *No.* Challenge ... some kind of janitor's pushcart thingy. I have no parts available, I'm currently trapped in a temple full of demons and don't have time to play with toys. * Don't answer it in the thread, you block of wood! And you don't need physical bricks to find the solution and PM a picture. *
Siegfried Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 *The colors may help you to fully solve the puzzle. The pieces do make one creation, but none of you will be the first to build it. * Oh, tell us that now oh mysterious one. Can we send a "correction"?
Hinckley Posted January 16, 2012 Author Posted January 16, 2012 Oh, tell us that now oh mysterious one. Can we send a "correction"? Absolutely. I'll append the rules above.
Siegfried Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Absolutely. I'll append the rules above. BTW, are you sure you're not missing a piece...
Hinckley Posted January 16, 2012 Author Posted January 16, 2012 BTW, are you sure you're not missing a piece... There will be pieces missing from every challenge. (But I did kind of miss one. It shouldn't effect the outcome, though.)
Siegfried Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 OK, now that's hopefully sorted I need to rest a bit... Tea... I need some tea... and my jacket.... and hair style? Ghosts, and demons I can handle, but mess with my fashion and you better hope you are as dead as you can get.
Tamamono Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Challenge: Begin I believe it is Challenge: Complete Wow, I went so fast the two posts merged together.
Hinckley Posted January 16, 2012 Author Posted January 16, 2012 Challenge: Begin I believe it is Challenge: Complete Wow, I went so fast the two posts merged together. *The smartass voice didn't think of that. *
Siegfried Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 *The smartass voice didn't think of that. * "Use the PM time then"... I say talking to the sky.
Siegfried Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Challenge: Complete "That would have been merged if it wasn't for my post"... why do I feel the urge to say such odd things? Tea! I need tea!
Fugazi Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 "That would have been merged if it wasn't for my post"... why do I feel the urge to say such odd things? Tea! I need tea! Ah, talk about great team work Siegourney! Have some knitted socks, my boy won't need them anymore!
Siegfried Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Have some knitted socks, my boy won't need them anymore! Thanks.... but what I really want is some tea. Would you happen to have some for a absurdly clichéd English Adventurer?
Fugazi Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Um, I'm afraid not. But I can knit you a teapot handle protection in no time though!
Hinckley Posted January 16, 2012 Author Posted January 16, 2012 "Use the PM time then"... I say talking to the sky. *The sky thought of that on his own, eventually, but still feels kind of dumb. Thanks. * *Diana knits some tea cozies and socks and an aphgan while they wait for the challenge time limit to be up.*
Bob Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Do we all need to do this challenge? My brain is fried. I'd like to pick up a rock that's on the floor and throw it at the clip-thing I pointed out earlier. Also, why is the pond different at the end? One side is longer than the other. Is that important? Am I over-thinking things again? Everything else seems to be symmetrical except for that.
Zepher Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Ooooo. Would you look at those pillars? Beauties, all of them. I'm afraid I'm a little distracted right now, and with so many people having already solved the puzzle, I feel my skills would be more useful elsewhere.

I'm afraid I'm a little distracted right now, and with so many people having already solved the puzzle, I feel my skills would be more useful elsewhere. *It may have been solved, but the winner gets an advantage. The times will be compared at the end. You can still participate if you choose. Just post your start time in the thread and PM me your answer. Read the freakin' rules.*
Hinckley Posted January 17, 2012 Author Posted January 17, 2012 Challenge 1 is complete. A whopping 5 out of the 14 of you even participated. The winner is: Samantha Cole (Rufus) Samantha should now nominate three people who will form a committee that will choose two people to receive clues. Sound over-complicated? Well, hopefully a strategy to win will soon reveal itself to you. Participating in the challenge would help. 1 person wins the challenge and chooses 3 people. Those 3 people choose 2 people and those 2 people will receive clues about the killer. That's the structure of the game.
