Recovering from the shock of Dak's fall, the party charges in head long to defeat the two remaining bandits. Tarn's ill luck continues as the Brigand slices him and steals a few gold coins in the process (-10) then dives to stick Guts (-10), but then jerks as De'kra connects once again (-8). Seeking vengeance for his fallen comrade, Knifk rushes the Sniper with all of his might, shearing steel through flesh (-22). Swindle sees an opportunity and surges magic towards both bandits (-6 each).

No, enemies dont have WP, if an enemy is lvl 5, he does 5 damage, not 10.

Hoping that this power won't fade, the shade leaps back to the back row, ready to strike the Brigand again with his Prongcanis Dagger.

Swindle's rage at Dak's defeat manifests itself in an explosion of purple energy. Seeing that he's taken both of the bandits by surprise, he moves to magic the Sniper from the back row again.

"RAAAAAAAAA-ghk-koff, koff, khaaaagh..."

"Hold off on that, If the next round goes sour again, we will need him! Valco, go to the back row!"

Fighting further away from the enemy was completely alien to Tarn, but he knew the older man was right. Tarn had to be smarter now, a strategist rather than a blunt instrument. Rystael would have wanted it that way too, for Tarn to think about the bigger picture.

Tarn will attack the Brigand from the back row.

The heroes seek to finish the fight! Enraged with the bandits, Knifk lunges at the Sniper and skewers her on his sword, ending her fight (-22). Frustrated with battle, Tarn unleashes a frenzy and smashes into the Brigand (-10). De'kra follows Tarn, but misses as the Brigand retreats back a few steps. Swindle again finds a burst of magic and sends it hurtling towards the Brigand (-6) while Guts chugs a healing potion (+10).

IC: As De'kra attack his mind drifted to Dak, still unconscious if not dead. How could De'kra put him out of mind for so long. As he readied for the attack the shade asked, "Heroes revive Dak? Not fun dead, if that what Dak inow. Might not be fun unconscious either. I know he come back after battle, but while you dead all you feel hatred, fear, loneliness, pure terror, jealousy, and need for vengeance. It twist mind. Need to get him out as soon as possible."

As De'kra asked this he attacked once more from the back row, his Prongcanis Dagger ready to fry his foe.

OOC: but that is De'kra's afterlife, not the main one, if there is even one.

I'm for using the Phoenix Essence on Dak, but am happy to hear any thoughts.

After the fight, Dak can sleep to regain health, since he has a bedroll, perhaps Darth Nihilus should awnser the question, what does he want? We do only have one phoenix essence, but he will get no level if he stays dead, which is important.

Well, I do want XP, but as you all said, there's only one Phoenix Essence, so if we use it now, we might not be able to revive a hard hitter like Tarn or Guts later. If you do revive Dak, you have another party memeber, so then you have a better chance of winning the battle in one more round. The definite downside of this is that Dak could get KO'd again if he gets a Special Damage, so it's up to Rumble Strike in the end, I think, since he has the Phoenix Essence.

Knifk grinned as Tfel sank into his foe's flesh, a small gasp escaping her lips before she went limp. He ripped the jagged blade out of her chest, and spent to attack the brigand from the front row.

Tarn let go a shout of triumph as his axe finally sliced into the Brigand with a satisfying squelch. He then turned to his fallen comrade, and used his Phoenix Essence on Dak.

OOC: OK, I'll get Dak up - leave no man or Elf behind, after all. I think we have enough firepower to cope without Tarn attacking getting hit for a turn!

Okay, cool by me.

The boy was floating in midair amidst a landscape of white. He felt that there must be something he had to do, something he had lost and had to find. A deep sense of loss pervaded his mind as he floated in the middle of the blank landscape. What was missing that had been there before? He knew it had to be something, he just couldn't remember what. Who was he? Where was he? And what was that humming? He looked down, and noticed color coming back to his arms. His skin was changing, but what color had it been before? Suddenly, he dropped to a floor, in the middle of a large Hall, with many people milling about. Here, a knight with a scar on his face and short hair, talking to a half-elf Ranger and a cleric in white with long hair. There, an old hermit leaning against a cart filled with bits and bobs of everything imaginable. And there, leaning against the wall, was the most beautiful girl the boy had ever seen. She had a huge sword strapped to her back, and black robes. Who was she? And what was she doing standing all alone? Suddenly, the boy's eyes snapped open, and he was out of his waking dream. He looked around, and saw a large man standing over him, an empty bottle in his hands, grinning. Over there, he saw other men, an Orc, and a Shade battleing a frightening huge monster of a man. The boy found himself holding a knife, with an arrow lying next to him, covered in blood. He stood, and pain shot through his chest. He battled through it, and charged, stabbing the Brigand through the chest with his knife. He did not remember who he was, but he knew that the man they were fighting must be evil, and had to be destroyed.

OOC: I want a new figure for Dak, but I don't have the parts. Can someone make it for me, pretty please? It has Zane from Ninjago's face, the 2010 Professor Snape's hair, the 2011 Darth Maul's robed torso, black legs, and a silver knife. Thank you, whoever might make this and take a picture of it for me!
