Tanma Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 (edited) IC: As De'kra dreamed to himself, hissing began to sound from his clothes. It was a reptilian hiss, slippery and cold. De'kra stirred at the sound, and felt at a patch of his clothes. After he had identified the source of the sound the shade returned to dream. His experission didn't change, since he lacked a mouth and his eyes couldn't blink, but there was an air of pleasure about him. Edited February 11, 2012 by Tanma Quote
UsernameMDM Posted February 11, 2012 Author Posted February 11, 2012 Tarn gives the Scroll of Sleep to Aberforth. The heroes stir after a few hours and break their makeshift camp. They venture around and find they have explored all of the tunnels on this level. With that they turn left and head down to another section of the mines. The party comes to another intersection. Right or Left? Quote
Tanma Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 (edited) IC: Since they have some time, De'kra decides to write Arthur once more. Greetings, this is De'kra. How are things going at the battlefield? Was that concept I had useful in that Karzahni of a war? ...I apologize for that hostile remark, I am still in a rage at the Shadeaux and myself. I did lead our group to that decision, if it was not for me we might have thought more about it, and noticed that our "guide"was pushing us towards violence. But instead I fired the trigger, and then wasted a ton of time sulking about it. Still, at least someone is cleaning up my mess.I would have contacted you sooner, but some events have distracted me from replying. We were attacked by three bandits, which we defeated not too long ago. I didn't get wounded once in the fight, it was...ascending. Like I could see the body movements of my foes, and knew exactly how to dodge and attack them. I felt...awake. However afterwards one of the other heroes became afflicted with amnesia. If you return to Heroica Hall before we do, see if you can find information on him. Upon writing this De'kra clicked, "New heroes and I head to left? I hear once that left usually lead to goal. I not sure why though." Edited February 11, 2012 by Tanma Quote

Darth Nihilus Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Dak moves forward, walking with the Barbarian, the Knight, and the Cleric. Seeing the Barbarian shoot a strange look at him, he says, "What?" The look of complete confusion on his face is almost comical. Quote
Tanma Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 (edited) IC: De'kra slinks back into the shadows, watching the group from a distance. But even as he shadowed them from the safety of darkness, De'kra felt better than he had in a while. The figure felt stronger now, his mind less clouded. De'kra wasn't sure if it was thanks to his ally's growth or another factor, but there was a difference. But as De'kra moved on he failed to notice the ripples in the air that trailed him. Edit: IC: De'kra noticed a reply from Arthur, and after some thought wrote; Arthur, I dare not think that way. It would be...catastrophic. When I encountered you in Heroica, I believe it was the second time, you noticed my depressed state. I informed you about my mistakes of Quest 4, and how it was my fault. But I also told you that I myself was an amnesic, and I had been for the last year of my existence. When I woke up I didn't even know how to speak or read the languages of Uland, all I knew was a circular form of writing and two dialects of a language made of chirps and clicks. I didn't know my species or my name, and I still don't. De'kra is just a name I created based off my first tongue's words for Sound and Darkness, while I call myself a shade because that is what I am. A shadow of a person, an echo. I tell you this because I am remembering more and more, and I do not like all that I see. True I can remember ships that can sail through the air and a marvelous city surrounded by a liquid metal sea, but there are horrible memories as well. I remember a war, a war that I did nothing to prevent. A war fought over an entire planet, not just some island like Uland. I did nothing to stop it, perhaps I thought that no one would listen. Perhaps I didn't care about the nations of the world. I don't recall. But I do remember what happened next. The war was fought over a powerful substance, that could destroy anything, save those people or thinfs with special destinies. Those people would be transformed by the liquid, given strange new forms. But as the nations of my world fought over the liquid, the fluid tore the planet apart. It won't have done so usually, but the violence of the fighting and efforts to mine it sped up the process. I knew this, and I did nothing. Perhaps I couldn't have stopped the liquid, maybe I couldn't have stopped the war. But I should have at least warned more people. Because one day the planet was ripped apart, and civilization of that planet ended. I should have done something, anything, but I didn't. And one can say that it wasn't my fault till their mouth bleeds from pain. But I did nothing about it, and I felt no regrets. It doesn't matter if the world would have died anyway, what matters is that I contributed to its destruction. I may not have caused the Elf-Lion War, but I played a part. And I have to remember that, because it still makes me guilty. And I dare not forget that. But I will also not let to overwhelm me. I do remember another memory, one that gives me strength. It is of six villages on another planet, made of villagers who had lost their memories. Only seven of them knew their past, six elders and a translator. The villagers were assulted every day for 999 years by a great evil, one who bent the beasts of their island to his will. For ages they faced him, fighting back with only tridents and disks. They made many mistakes, confused ally with foe, and never in that time did the villages remember their past. But they kept fighting, fighting to survive. They never gave up, so I can't either. No matter the mistakes I make, I will not give in. On the matter of the other amnesic on the quest, his name is Dak. He was a member of Quest 13, and I believe he has Mopag ancestery. At the moment he is a little violent prone, but one of the other people here was suggesting bludgeoning him with a shovel to make him remember. I will keep your words in mind however Edited February 12, 2012 by Tanma Quote
Bioniclover Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Knifk slowly walks down the seemingly endless hallway, the only sound the soft clinking of metal caused by Tfel bumping against his armor. The sword was rusted and knocked all over from it's time underground. He'd have to get a smith to look at it sometime soon. He sighed, imagining that such a piece of work would make his coin purse considerably lighter, and continued trudging. Quote

Scubacarrot Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 (edited) Guts stretched his neck, the hallways were long in this place, it certainly was a much larger mine than the one he had spent time in in the last Quest, funny how that works. In front of him were the mage, Tarn, Dak and the orc, Knifk. They were mockingly called 'team Bait' by Dak, before his amnesia, and Dak was now walking between them. Around ten paces behind him was the other rogue, Dek'ra, who tried furiously to stay in the shadows, cast on the walls because of the light of the torch. Pointless, something that would see them in these tunnels would surely see the shade as well, Guts thought to himself. "How big is this bloody place, that moustached coward that calls himself steward did not mention this!" Edited February 14, 2012 by Scubacarrot Quote
