Here my first Technic Model "Go Kart 8842" in the 2012 Edition. Just for fun :-)

That looks like a pretty accurate translation to studless - very cool. Also eerily reminiscent of the older 854 go-cart that I had when I was a kid.

@ Denny: I like the side-by-side comparison between the "studded" and "studless" building styles.

ORIGINAL STUDDED 8842:

1) Looks "more like Lego"

2) Uses more parts

3) Does not look as realistic

4) Has larger engine displacement

8842 STUDLESS EDITION FROM 2012:

1) Is considerably lighter in weight

2) Has better tire grip

3) Liftarms are weaker than Technic Bricks (per Tristan Lostroh's recent Lego strength tests)

I love how you have recreated it using the newer parts.
