strider117 Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 The ARC-170 is by far my favorite Republic ship and you've captured the look beautifully! Very well done! Quote
sandtrooper Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 Does anyone still have the parts list for this? I was able to get the instructions from dropbox, but the Brickshelf link doesn't seem to be working. Thanks! Quote

I will have to look on my work computer. Send me a message with your email address and if I find it I will send it to you. Try his link as it worked for me fine to pull up the parts list in txt file http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=497400 Wife and I just started building my modified color version in my college colors. Definitely big but looking good. Really excited to actually begin the build process. Unfortunately out of town for most of this week so won't finish it for a while. I'd buy that in a heartbeat if it were released as a UCS set! Quote
thire5 Posted January 25, 2017 Author Posted January 25, 2017 Hey guys! I again fixed link to download the instructions and also part list. As mentioned before, the yellow and ligh blue parts (in the instruction) can be any color as they are not visible but in the PART-LIST all these parts are listed as yellow. I am thinking about creating the new version with some modifications (mostly engines and wings) and updating to newer parts. Quote
Bbafett Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 I finally finished the build, and the move to my office for the Auburn University theme of thire5's awesome ARC 170 starfighter. Definitely had some trickier parts to it, and it took longer to finish up than I was expecting due to some personal things along with my concern of transporting it and set up in my office. However, I am glad to have it built it and it looks great. Especially knowing it is my university colors. I even got some college stickers printed out and put on there as well including a clone trooper helmet in my college colors I found online. I will say that getting the front part of the engines on and the big wings were the toughest part of the build. I unfortunately couldn't find a solution to the green part at the top so it doesn't quite match the color scheme. However, since I had planned on putting it up high in my office it isn't as noticeable. I wish that arch green plate came in different colors than the green. thire5 Posted June 6, 2017 Author Posted June 6, 2017 (edited) @Bbafett: Nice build with nice color scheme! For the dark green tile, this might be some acceptable substitution: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=22385#T=C Edited June 6, 2017 by thire5 Quote
Bbafett Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 That is a good idea. I might have to make that change at some point. thanks. Quote

sandtrooper Posted March 26, 2022 Posted March 26, 2022 I am about to complete a build of this and need some advice. Attaching the engine intakes is about to drive me mad. Do the intakes rest on the Technic pins that stick out or is the back of the intake supposed to butt up to the pins? The weight of the intakes seems too heavy for the support that is supposed to hold them. Thank you. Quote
