July 3, 201212 yr I find it very strange that we have one series in stores right now and we don't even know what the next series will look like. Even in the new Lego catalog there is only a ? and a naked Minifigure as spaceholder for the next series. I think it is about time now. Edited July 3, 201212 yr by Blacktron

All of the stores I go to have at least two series sometimes three, and several boxes at that.

If I recall correctly, S3 pics didn't show up until a month before the release date, but S7 pics came out before S6 was available. You can never estimate when the pics are going to come out. You have to be patient.
July 3, 201212 yr You have to be patient. I find that difficult, as I find myself checking this thread daily in hopes of news.
July 3, 201212 yr Lego_group just replied to a tweet asking when they'd release pics with 'next month'. So it looks like they won't be shown at San Diego Comic Con after all... (unless they don't count 'pictures taken on display' and mean 'officially released pics')
July 3, 201212 yr I don't understand why people speculated they would be shown at Comic-Con. Lego showed Marvel and DC products at Comic-Con for obvious reasons. But they have never showed unlicensed products at Comic-Con, AFAIK.
July 3, 201212 yr Yes, from one team. There are people who'd like another player from a different team, for the S4 player to play against. There was also a whole LEGO soccer/football theme several years ago, but that was long enough ago that many people now collecting the Minifigures probably weren't even into LEGO at the time. Also, soccer is vastly more popular around the world than American-style football. Soccer even has some followers here in the US, whereas hardly anybody outside the US has any interest in US football. I don't like it when they do repeats. I guess people have different ideas, but I would like something different. Yeah I have no problem with an American Football Player; my comment was an address to you deciding to diss football/soccer with your "ACTUAL football" comment. Ok then Edited July 6, 201212 yr by Lightning Dragon

But they have never showed unlicensed products at Comic-Con, AFAIK. Because Lego said they were going to have a presence there and it comes about 6 weeks before the figures are due to hit shelves, so it makes perfect sense for them to show them there to create a pre-release buzz - with the movie previews, TV panels & non-licensed toys Comic Con has fast become Entertainment Con.
July 4, 201212 yr I find that difficult, as I find myself checking this thread daily in hopes of news. Whenever someone posts on this thread recently, I immediately click on it, in hope of the person bringing amazing pictures. But they never do.

July 4, 201212 yr It's alittle ironic to post on the optimism of seeing new posts in this thread when your posts themselves offer nothing new. The last three people pointed out the lack of pics, yet offer nothing themselves...

I don't think it makes perfect sense... They have never done anything like that before. They have Toy Fairs for that. Just my opinion. Edited July 4, 201212 yr by johnnyvgoode
July 6, 201212 yr ...so, no pics YET? Any info? was my info right? was it wrong? Damn, TLG, whay can't we be happy few months more, while waiting :) (I know, I know, competition:) Edited July 6, 201212 yr by Angeli
July 7, 201212 yr What I am thinking is even though I agree with the people who were saying they check every time there is a new post, I have enough patience that I can easily wait for WhiteFang's reveiw, as it should be coming pretty soon.
July 7, 201212 yr Seen this comment from someone on a Brick Ultra post about series 8. its the 5th post down and it can be complete BS but i hope he's right about the "Football Player" being an American player. Being a American football player myself, i will collect millions of it haha. Heres what his comment said... "Great new news on the series 8 minifigs! -The DJ will have have red Aviators shades! -The football player is American Football and he is wearing the same pads as the Series 4 Hockey Player! All these facts are to definite, but they are from good sources!" My link
July 7, 201212 yr OK - "Vampire" isn't a female version but is in fact closer to the bats in the Monster Fighter's Haunted Mansion set only in black. EDIT - of course I meant Vampyre Castle not Haunted Mansion... And these are the mini figures I was referring to: http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/Bat_Monster Edited July 9, 201212 yr by pjonze

July 7, 201212 yr -The football player is American Football and he is wearing the same pads as the Series 4 Hockey Player! I expected the pads for the football player. I only really buy the series for the faces, so I hope that they have really nice ones. OK - "Vampire" isn't a female version but is in fact closer to the bats in the Monster Fighter's Haunted Mansion set only in black. What's your source? That should be interesting if true.
July 8, 201212 yr OK - "Vampire" isn't a female version but is in fact closer to the bats in the Monster Fighter's Haunted Mansion set only in black. Interesting... As said before, a sorce would help to make this more credible. I'm looking forward to the alien and evil robot! Any rumors on those would be much appreciated! I Imagine the female alien being similar to the ones seen in the AQ line.
July 9, 201212 yr OK - "Vampire" isn't a female version but is in fact closer to the bats in the Monster Fighter's Haunted Mansion set only in black. What bats? Haunted mansion? Or did you mean the castle? Release of these is only a month away. Usually they appear early somewhere, and Whitefang gets to review them around the same time. Pics MUST be coming soon... EAGERLY ANTICIPATING...
July 9, 201212 yr I just noticed that the 2010 Atlantis Treasure game featured an old-style diver on the cover, so maybe that might whet some appetites while we wait (or just make the wait even worse). It obviously wouldn't be possible for a real minifigure to look just like that since the helmet wouldn't fit over the head, but it's still making me pretty excited to see what LEGO might've come up with. Not that there are any guarantees that a diver would be this of this style/type. It might just be a female equivalent of the previous "modern" diver.

And that Ocean King also on the cover looks very similar to the S7 Ocean King. Not that that necessarily means anything one way or another for the diver, but still interesting... I really hope it is an old-style diver. As for the rumor on the vampire, if true, that will make me very happy. I'd love more manbats, especially if they're in black. And the rumor on the football player also makes me happy. This series is continuing to grow on me (but still no pictures!).
