Matija Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Here is my first attempt to make a non-minifig-scale car. With removable canopy! Since the original was green, the model had to be too even though the part selection was quite limited (well, actually it was supposed to be dark green, but that would have been close to impossible to make). More pics at MOCpages Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 AWESOME work 'Matija', I wonder if a minifig scale one of these is possible ? Keep up the excellent designing 'Matija' and Brick On ! Quote
L@go Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 (edited) Like I already said on Brikkelauget: It's brilliant, and for a first attempt at this scale it's amazing. Well done. EDIT: And by the way, I just realised that if you'd built it in yellow, you could actually have used this part in the middle of the bootlid :) Edited January 26, 2012 by L@go Quote
Redhead1982 Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 That's a nice car. I'm not a car specialist, so my question might be stupid - is this some kind of special model for left-hand drivers (such as UK, or Australia)? The position of the steering wheel is what caught my eye. I admit I'm no expert... In respect to the model, green and white combination looks great, and the seats in lightbluish gray look stylish. Great work! Quote
michaelozzie Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 This is really very good. The colour combination works great Quote

The position of the steering wheel is what caught my eye. If you look at the pictures of the original car, the one the LEGO model is based on, you will understand (it is from New Zealand). Other than that, I don't think there is anything special with that model, but I'm not a car expert either. Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 (edited) Ah it seems we have a 'cast off ' from the town section . It's very realistic, well done. Edited January 26, 2012 by Alasdair Ryan Quote

grohl Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 I saw it yesterday on BS and in caught my eye not only because it is in my favourite colour. Great details! Quote
L@go Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 (edited) I have trouble understanding how this suddenly ended up in the Technic forum... there's not much Technic about it. Edited January 26, 2012 by L@go Quote
alois Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 I have trouble understanding how this suddenly ended up in the Technic forum... there's not much Technic about it. It's also the Model Team forum, I think that is what made the moderators move it here. Quote
Matija Posted January 26, 2012 Author Posted January 26, 2012 Ok, I'm really beginning to mislike BrickShelf. It's the third time today that they've removed the pictures of the original car, even though it's nicely put in the same folder as the LEGO model, and there is a good reason for it. Quote
AllanSmith Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Ok, I'm really beginning to mislike BrickShelf. It's the third time today that they've removed the pictures of the original car, even though it's nicely put in the same folder as the LEGO model, and there is a good reason for it. They did that to me when I had a reference picture of a Cessna Plane in a front yard of a house which I did a MOC off. To get around it I now add reference pictures inside the MOC picture. Examples: Mower Mack truck Quote
Robert M Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 ^^^^ You need to give up posting comments like this, it does nothing for the builder, and is just a pain nuisance for the reader. On the other hand, the car is great, with the limited amount of parts available. Quote
S.I Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 ALl it needs is an outboard and a hull and you can enter the competition. Quote
