M<0><0<DSWIM Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 (edited) So, I took a break from my Star Wars builds to focus on some other themes. I've always wanted to build an action figure-scale Terminator! Not every detail is here or entirely accurate, but, keep in mind the scale and the fact that it's Lego. "Hasta la vista, baby!" If you can't see the images here, or if you'd like to see the entire gallery, you can check it out on Mocpages: My link Edited January 28, 2012 by M<0><0<DSWIM Quote
JackJonespaw Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Wow! That is very nice! I love the skulls! Quote

Legostein Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 So, I took a break from my Star Wars builds to focus on some other themes. Hello! That's an excellent choice! With Star Wars making less and less fun, I went a similar way and am focusing on other things. The terminator is an excellent addition for your moodland showcase. It looks as complex as the original with all the pneumatic tubing and hinges. Also the moodland-scaled skull is a cool idea. Cheers, ~ Chris Quote
-zenn Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 wow, love the head and legs. I would only look into those hands, they seem tiny compared to the rest of the body. Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 AWESOME creation again from you 'MOOD', I too that skull on the ground.....ready to be stepped on. Keep them coming......Brick On while saying 'I'll be back !'. Quote
Praiter Yed Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 (edited) Brilliant! Really too much fantastic parts usage here to list but I'm particularly fond of the use of levers on the head and nose! And yeah, the skulls are a nice touch. I think this deserves two... Edited January 27, 2012 by Praiter Yed Quote

Cheers, ~ Chris Thanks, Chris! I don't find Star Wars to be any less fun, I just needed a change of pace for a bit. Thought I'd get some other themes out of my system before the next Community build. wow, love the head and legs. I would only look into those hands, they seem tiny compared to the rest of the body. Thanks! Yeah, I'll have to try some different techniques for the hands if I make a V2. Quote
KimT Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Nice work Mood That's a really great design you've managed. I really dig the legs Quote
Walter Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 (edited) Amazing piece of art Mood! I could tell right off that it was a Terminator. Edited January 27, 2012 by Walt Quote

GeluNumber1 Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 I would comment on it if the pics would load.... I have the same problem. Think the pics are too big... Quote
Oky Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 I think Brickshelf is just on the fritz again. Just be patient. Quote
zero1312 Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 Just saw the moc. And I must say, you nailed the look perfectly. Especially on the scale. Quote
GeluNumber1 Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 Thanks for the link. I gotta admit, that's a great build you have. The face, although a bit cartoonish, makes it recognizable as a treminator. And those skulls beneath its feet, that's a good reference to the movie poster. The use of SNOT to make the legs is admirable, although the feet are a bit too small for my liking. What type of guns are those? Quote

I know the head and other parts are simpler than the "real" thing, but keep in mind the size. The guns are from the opening scene of T2 with the Terminators walking through a field of bones in the future. here's the model I used as reference: My link Quote

I tried a TON of new techniques on this fig in order to achieve accuracy and a machine-like look, especially in the legs. Edited February 3, 2012 by M<0><0<DSWIM Quote
brickmack Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Very nice Terminator. I have't seen any of the movies, so I'm not sure about the accuracy, but it definitky looks cool. Hands are too small for my liking though. I like the design of the legs. Quote
lego envy Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 As i said before..This one tops the cake. Quote

wokajablocka Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Awesome man! I really like it. I like the leavers on the side of his head and the skulls on the ground are cool. The general form to the terminator is really good. Quote
