Chuck Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 That's megablocks and you know!Everyone always goes "There are new sets blah blah" and never say anything after that even when people complain. Those people don't get banned at all, don't even get a talknig to. Edited by DoubleT A little off-topic, but please remember that there are also kids on this board, so try and refrain from cussin'. The reason information isn't being given out is for confidentiality. You wouldn't give the blueprints for a car to a rival car company, would you? No, you wouldn't. -l2k- Quote
SupaaSayajin Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 Just look at the new city sets, the new castle theme and the new aquaraider!? They're all looking kinda great and I think the city sets are one of the best we ever had! And it seems like Lego is listening to its fans and returning to classic with new cool bricks, and not <insert that tiresome argument> ones like in 2000whatsoever. So wh should they brake this new direction only just for the sapce line, which all of us wanted most to be classic again!? I believe this is gonna be a great theme, and I mean, come on, only because its called Mission to Mars, that means nothing, thats just the title, not the sets, they could be called Yigdrahwarkz and anyone could suspect the same :P :) Quote
natelite Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 well, jinroush hinted that it will have the bad features of life on mars, such as the tubes. Quote
Asuka Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 Shall I risk it...? Well.... I love Life on Mars! IMO this is one of the best base stations ever. Ingenious, strange and beautiful, like an alian base should be. And those tubes.... fits nicely. And they work perfectly. Looks great when the mechas are docked! If new space will hit this direction, I Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 I liked the LoM mecha's, but most of the other sets were crap. Especially the big set you pictured. Those tubes... :-X Quote

Asuka Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 Is that one set?? How much did that thing cost?? (sorry, I was in my dark age when LoM came out) Yes. U.S. price was $ 90.00 for 706 pieces. Quote
phoinix Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 well in my opinion that is one of the worst lego sets of all time!! *alien* this design is what brought TLC to have financial problems! its not even a space base its a few docks thrown together in a box! *wacko* and it shouldnt cost much..there arent that many parts in there... it just looks big...and flimpsy! |-/ the way TLC is going this year i dont think we will see anything like this! city is great *wub* castle is getting better *y* so why should the return of space suck? :-/ (i've got my hopes set high) ;-) Quote
Asuka Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 I liked the LoM mecha's, but most of the other sets were crap. Especially the big set you pictured. Those tubes... :-X Of course the use of this tubes seems to be limited.... Especially for MOCs. Maybe they are good for entering those sweet Lunar Interceptor spacecrafts. ;-) Quote
snefroe Posted December 25, 2006 Author Posted December 25, 2006 i've always felt this set is kinda terrible. dreadfull colors, lousy parts, ... Hope this year's sets are a lot better than this Quote
SupaaSayajin Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 Yuck this set has nothing to do with original space in my opinion. Life on Mars is just something different, and you can tell by how it goes on ebay atm (10 loosy dollars per MISB(!!!) set) that this set is not very welcome to others as well, because usually set prices go up like mad after some years... PaulC Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Of course the use of this tubes seems to be limited.... Especially for MOCs.Maybe they are good for entering those sweet Lunar Interceptor spacecrafts. ;-) LOL Asuka, I love that idea. I have to admit that I too love the Life On Mars sets. I didn't manage to get the Aero Tube Hangar when it was out, so I have most of the mecha but nothing for them to dock to! |-/ I would love to see someone make a moc of minifigs sliding down the tubes into their spaceships ready for launch! Back on topic, it seems this thread has devolved a bit into rabid space fans ripping into each other over wild speculation in the absence of any real information. Chill guys! The new space line will be... whatever it will be. Don't get your hopes up, but similarly don't be too downbeat until we see it. We'll have to judge it on it's own merits once it appears. Much like... Life On Mars! X-D Quote
Clone comander Nodra 999 Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 the only good set from lom was the trike Quote
snefroe Posted December 27, 2006 Author Posted December 27, 2006 the only good set from lom was the trike yep! my first set since the dark age! hope they have something of the same type *sweet* Quote
Endigo Vandane Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Well, I can't wait to see the new series of "Life on Mars". I'd love to see a set of the Ford Cortina with minifigs of Sam Tyler and Gene Hunt. Or isn't that the "Life on Mars" we're talking about? ;-) Whatever the new SPACE is, I'll be buying it. The number of copies of each set will depend on parts selection and price. Quote
