Pallantides Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 So, I just picked up the collectable Roman Mini-Figs a couple of days ago (unfortunately I could only get 5 of the Romans, and 1 Highlander), and I decided to customize/change them up a bit using different heads to make them look a bit more weathered and unique as though they've been on campaign for some time. I don't have very many decent Lego pieces at the moment, so this is all I'm able to do. I like the way they all look, and hopefully when I can get some more good pieces that are suitable for Romans, I'll be making some larger MOCs. This is my first "semi-MOC" I've made ever since I was very young, so that's about 11 years ago now so be gentle with C&C. Overhead view The Greek and Gallic Foederati/Mercenaries guarding the commissariat. The Romans from head on, Decanus (I wish I had one more man and it would be a true contubernium) to the left, followed by an evocatus, and three miles (one with a bow which isn't exactly Roman, but it's more unique). Strange alternate angles Quote
Cij Daoke Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 I liked the facial expressions you choosed Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Looks great! I really should get some of these myself. And would you please resize your pictures to a maximum of 800x600? As that's the maximum we allow on Eurobricks. Already thanks! Quote

If there still are issues, I'll edit them in photoshop and re-upload them to my photobucket). Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Despite your efforts they are still the same. I suggest the free program Irfanview, very handy and nice quality. A link to a tutorial about resizing and Irfanview is in my signature. Hope that helps! Quote
Esurient Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Nice mocs. For me I prefer more action in my mocs like my avatar ! Lol. Quote
venios Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 A contubernium is 8 men and therefore you need 3 more legionaires. I am also trying to get a contubernium like you. I only have 1 of them as of yet! Quote

I'm including the two Foederati with them, in that they're all in the tent together, as that is what it refers to at the base level. So at the moment I only need 1 more mini-fig. UnknownClone Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 You say that the bow and arrow isn't exactly roman - Bow and arrows have been used since before recorded history therefor it is entirely possible that the Romans used bow and arrows. Quote
Good Cragger Fan Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 (edited) I like your Roman, and Greek and Celtic "armies" "MOC", "Pallantides"! As for you in needing a Decanus minifigure, all you need is the Roman Officer minifigure in the (upcoming) Minifigures Series 10, and you're set there! You say that the bow and arrow isn't exactly roman - Bow and arrows have been used since before recorded history therefor it is entirely possible that the Romans used bow and arrows. That is very true of what you said here, "UnknownClone", because I still have a Grade 7 Social Studies textbook that shows pictures and discriptions of Roman soldiers in using bow-and-arrows. (I currently use them in some of my Roman Legionary minifigures and will use them in some of my (future) Roman Commander minifigures from the (upcoming) Minifigures Series 10!) Alfadas Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 I like your Roman Squad. It is really cool. I do not have any roman soldiers , but I am collecting castle figs. I have a viking army that can fight against your romans . But seriously, your roman squad looks really cool!!! Quote
