bigbase Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 New Technic sets from 2005 Technic sets 2005 ;)
Wolf04 Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Now those are real sets! Damn, they look so good. Lego really went back to their roots. All these beautiful sets and more are coming on the way. The fork lift is really cool. The bike is ok and the crane looks awsome. I wonder what's the box thingy at the back of the crane.
jonfett Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 I can't wait to see the finished fork lift, it should be great!! Thanks for the pics bigbase. Jon.
sam89 Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 The sets look really cool, but do look like they could change quite a lot by the time we see the finished set. The forklift mechanism looks good, and it looks like the bike has suspension. It's also nice to see another pic of the lion from the designer set :-D Perhaps you could change the pics to links though, since the page isn't displaying properly.
Orlego Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Great sets. I love the forklift. The bike will probably be the hottest seller with kids.
Brickmaster Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 New Technic sets even? 2005 is awsome. The crane may have a yellow battery box on the back. The motercycle's suspension looks new.
Wolf04 Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 I noticed this before but I was too lazy to post it...what's up with the white covering on the pneumatic cylinders? EDIT: How could "brickmaster" have joined on January 15 if it's the 14th? EDIT 2: Notice the beams with studs on the side of the crane. :-D EDIT 3: The fork lift also uses some beams with studs, which is wonderful. LEGO may go back to its roots, not that these sets are not cool. The bike looks realistic at the front and front side but it looks weird towards the back. EDIT 4: Could the post with the pictures be edited to links. It is really annoying because of the large pictures. Thank you. :)
sam89 Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 EDIT: How could "brickmaster" have joined on January 15 if it's the 14th? He joined on the 15th European time ;)
mahjqa Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Them sets are looking mighty fine. Especially since they are preliminary versions (leaves some room for improvement), they are going to be awesome. the only thing that kinda irks me is the functionality of the motorbike, I was kinda hoping for front suspension, too. Even 8838 and 8422 had that. Some specialized parts, like a front mudguard and on the back supension, but that's nothing new in the lego motorcycle world. I wonder about the prices of the sets, since they all seem to be pretty big. Most of the time there's only one, maybe 2 big technic releases each year. I suppose not every set can be a 8418 or a 8441, though |-D
sam89 Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Mahjga, here's some rough prices of the sets. Remember they're not exact: 8416 Technic-Forklift (Aug) $73.95 8420 Technic-Street Bike (Aug) $52.95 8421 Technic-XXL Mobil Crane (Aug) $157.95
Brickmaster Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 EDIT: How could "brickmaster" have joined on January 15 if it's the 14th? He joined on the 15th European time ;) Thats right, i read somewhere there is a VERY large difference of time in wisconsin than europe. Its around 7 er some hours.
Brickmaster Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 I just noticed there was a new pic of that awesome lion. I really like its pose...
