Rogue Angel Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 3400 years ago Dallaenus and his fleet of corsairs have been hunting down Drow marauders for some months now. There pursuit has led across vast oceans far to the East of their homeland. They have discovered a continent previously unknown to them. Dallaenus himself is the first to step from the boat as the first Elves arrive. He places the Elven standard on this pristine shoreline. He can see the great forest beyond the dunes, and he eagerly awaits the journey inland. So begins the history of the Elves in Historica. Ecclesiastes Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Nice build and great job on the deer-head! Quote
Alex the Great Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 I really like that your doing MOC's based on a history line, and this creation is quite good! The boat looks very..elvish. Quote
Rogue Angel Posted February 5, 2012 Author Posted February 5, 2012 Nice build and great job on the deer-head! I'm only so-so on the deer head, but I can't think of a better way to do larger antlers. Quote
Derfel Cadarn Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Nice idea and scene, its good to see some historic builds coming through. Nice work on the boat and very nice base plate design too Quote
AK_Brickster Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Nice build. I especially like your idea for the base. Very cool and ornate-looking. Quote
Blaze Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 I like the ship and deer head design! Also the wave effect looks good. I just had a question: Where did you get the brown-haired elf? Or did you paint them yourself? Quote
Kayne Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 I think those are the werewolf headpieces, based on the matching brown ears. But they definitely work! Quote
Rogue Angel Posted February 7, 2012 Author Posted February 7, 2012 I think those are the werewolf headpieces, based on the matching brown ears. But they definitely work! They are indeed the werewolf headpieces. I was a little hesitant to use them at first, but I am very happy with them now. Still waiting on black and white versions. Quote
Blaze Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Oh yeah offcourse! Haha I could've known that about the werewolf piece. I did saw a black hairpiece with elven ears here: Dark Elf Lord But I'm guessing this is a custom made, because most of the other pieces are all customized or self-made. Quote

I have seen a couple black hairpieces, but they have all been customs. Quote
Gabe Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Interesting boat design rogueang, i like the work on the figurehead. I take it these are rowboats that are stored on a larger ship? If so, does this mean we shall we be seeing the parent vessel from you sometime?? Quote
Si-MOCs Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Very nice boat! But I love the base you built for the moc. it's so pretty to look at :) Also the minifig poses are well done. it has a real sense of ... "deployed and ready for action" Quote
de Gothia Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 A lovely little scene you have here! you could almost feel the breeze in your hair and smell the sea! The seaweed on the beach is a great touch! Great job on this one! Quote
Rogue Angel Posted February 12, 2012 Author Posted February 12, 2012 why the flesh hands though? You caught that, eh? I didn't notice it until it was too late. I usually catch those things before I post, but not this time. Gabe: When I start Bricklinking for my next contest build or my Albion build, I will pick up some hull pieces. I do have some ideas for larger vessels, but my collection of hull pieces is rather light at present. Quote
