markus1984 Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 (edited) Hi, here is my first knight diorama. after I've put together my army, I wanted to build a diorama for it. Sorry for the sometimes poor quality photo, but I've been working on it. flickr I hope you enjoy it, and I'm open for any feedback. Edited February 15, 2012 by markus1984 Quote
Jesperallen Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Great build! Like the siegeengines a lot and love that you´ve made a real wall in height and with some thickness. Quote
maydayartist Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 The army is great of course but the scene around them makes it perfect. I like the green in front of your wall a lot. But I wonder about the straight discipline of your attacking army. I miss the rough and chaotic atmosphere of such a siege. Maybe you can give them more headless movement and dramatic in front of their nearly end :) Phil Quote
JackJonespaw Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 This is very nice! I really like the castle wall. Quote
Etmerek Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Those moving towers (the one moved by the trolls to siege the castle) looks fine to use it in a MOC of Minas Tirith and the Battle of Pelennor Fields Quote
markus1984 Posted February 13, 2012 Author Posted February 13, 2012 thanks guys, i'm happy about this positive feedback, of course i make any changes about the diorama. That with the "chaos" is an good idea, i thought even at the beginning, but than I put it in waiting formation greetings Markus PS: my english is really worse than I thought Sorry Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 WOW Markus this is a huge and impressive work! The old siege chariot is fantastic! Great details and thousands of lego pieces! Quote
supersympa Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 well done Markus, as previously said, massive wall and massive siege chariot well done! Quote
AwesomeStar Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Really great work! I'm currently undertaking a diorama about 1/2 the size of yours and it's great to see somebody pull it off so well at double the resources. A fantastic inspiration, well done! -A.S. Quote
rucorder Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Very nice! The wall look very imposing. Quote
mephistopheles Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Really nice! What is the size of the base? It seems huge. Quote
markus1984 Posted February 15, 2012 Author Posted February 15, 2012 Really nice! What is the size of the base? It seems huge. thanks, the size are 90 x 75 cm Quote
mephistopheles Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 thanks, the size are 90 x 75 cm Thanks! Just a friendly suggestion: you could add a guy or two with a barrel to the defenders. Like they would spill hot tar or oil over the attackers. It would be a neat little detail you often read about in fantasy books where castles get stormed. Quote
SirSven7 Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 This is brilliant as far as first build go I can see your going to go far here, well done far better than anything I could build Quote

markus1984 Posted April 2, 2012 Author Posted April 2, 2012 Hello, Before I decompose my diorama i'm bringing a little bit more of "action" in it. The army doesn`t stand longer in a straight line formation flickr Quote
