legolijntje Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 You should try playing around with the software a bit. You'll find a lot of features which will be useful to you at one point or another. It should take only a few moments of poking around to find the parts list export on the menu. And don't forget Google! I tried to make instructions of Sheepo's MPS. It started out very well, I already have 1 file rebuilded with steps..... ..... then I totally forgot about it... Quote
Sheepo Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 I have added a new interesting entry in my website about the MPS: here But this is the most important part: In this moment is when I need your opinion and ideas for new MPS elements. Obviously I will not made all elements to tell me, but I will study all of them, and I will built all of it which could be interesting for me. Please leave a comment in this post with your ideas ;) I will not rebuild the old axles with little modfications, like wider or narrower... this is your work as user of it ;) Try with new types of axles, or with more advanced features, for example: front live axle, "buggy" type rear axle or double beam chassis I am waiting for your ideas! DLuders Posted April 14, 2013 Author Posted April 14, 2013 @ Sheepo: Can you design a modular, Lego-based Jeep Hurricane axle? It has a Split Solid Axle.... Quote
legolijntje Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 I would like to see some more chassis types: longer, shorther, maybe an cage version (for strength purposes). Some F1 axles would be nice too Quote
Sheepo Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 @ Sheepo: Can you design a modular, Lego-based Jeep Hurricane axle? It has a Split Solid Axle.... I will try it, but the modular system was not designed to use two longitudinal drive shafts. To do it well I will need desing the axles and the frame, and the result will not be compatible with the others MPS elments... I would like to see some more chassis types: longer, shorther, maybe an cage version (for strength purposes). Some F1 axles would be nice too In the published chassis is very easy change the length(the red liftarms) and the width(the yellow liftarms). A cage version is a good idea, also a F1 axles are a gread idea too, both are added to my MPS pending list  . Quote
legolijntje Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Maybe you can also make a chassis type that's the whole car lenght. That would open a lot more possibilities, for example suspension like in the Unimog (8110) or Monster Truck suspension. However it's very difficult to make suspension like that; MPS: modular a twin I-beam suspension would be cool too (it's a very weird suspension...), as it is very different that what you currently have, although maybe this one has the problem described above Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Have you thought of building modules for truck chassis? Quote
Sheepo Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 legolijntje as you said, to build a whole chassis with axles is not a modular design... I know the twin i-beam suspension, and I think it will can be a good axle, but before to build strange and rare axles, I prefer build more usefull axles to help people to build its own supercars. Alasdair, the MPS was design to build supercars, not trucks. I can try to build some of it, but I don't know if the result will be enough good for me... Quote
Sheepo Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Here is the first axle of the new MPS season ;) MPS. Rear axle IV: Live axle with leaf spring Following the idea by legomuppet9. With drive (code F.CD) - R.CD.2 This leaf springs uses angle connectors to "looks like a eliptic" leaf spring, and also the connectos and the 3L axles give a great elastic force. It works really well, is very strong and uses very common parts You can read more about the Modular Platform System here: MPS Also you can download all axles and chassis in only one link: Download Quote
Sheepo Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 One more MPS rear axle MPS. Rear axle V: Torsion-beam Following idea by Zachary Cross Without drive (code: R.D) - R.D.1 As always you can download all axles and chassis in only one link: Download Quote
legotechnicblue Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Could you create a parts list for your axles? Thanks Quote
legomuppet9 Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Could you create a parts list for your axles? Thanks Do it yourself, the software is there Quote
legotechnicblue Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 I can't download the software because I am on an iPad Quote
legomuppet9 Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 I can't download the software because I am on an iPad Surely you must have a computer somewhere... Quote
legomuppet9 Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Actually I don't at all Ok... I don't know if it's available on iPad, but on android at least there's an app called burf3D which allows you to view all Lego 3D files. Not sure if you can get a partlist however... Quote
legotechnicblue Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Oh. Thank you. I also have an android tablet Quote
750ACE Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 I can't find it! Please discuss outside of this forum as this does not remotely even pertain to sheepo's designs. Quote
legomuppet9 Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 I made a mistake my bad, it is buf3d not burf 3d, searching for buf3D in the play store brings up the app Quote
legomuppet9 Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Thanks I found it now. good good, I think you may be able to generate a parts list from it, I'm not sure, otherwise I'll try and find time to make one, but I'm rather busy at the moment... Quote
Technyk32231 Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 What about a sliding pillar independent front suspension or a Chapman strut independent front suspension? Quote
