Posted February 12, 201213 yr Hi all, New to this site, i just had to register after finally finding my love for lego again after about 22 years due to getting a lego book from my missus for christmas. I'm 34 and sadly, i have NO lego. I used to have about 100.000 bricks when i was a kid and one day when i came home from school i found that my Mum had thrown away every single bit of lego i had! I've never got over it and i never will. haha Some talented lego-ist on this site. Edited February 12, 201213 yr by leeislee
February 12, 201213 yr Welcome leeislee, Don't be too sad, most of us here have similar experiences coming back into LEGO, you'll find great help here with any questions..and we look forward to seeing any creations you build. I suggest checking out Bricklink and Peer-on, and learning how to navigate their sites, as I have found them very useful for parts and instruction scans. Best wishes
February 12, 201213 yr Author Thanks for the welcome stacker9000. As soon as i start buying bricks i'll see if the old magic flows back!
February 15, 201213 yr Welcome! It's sad news about your LEGO, but no worries, rebuilding your collection may be fun too!
February 15, 201213 yr Lego Digital Designer may be the first way forwards; see what you want to build... then get a second credit card so the missus does not see how much you spend.
February 17, 201213 yr Thats too bad about your Lego.. Though Im sure you will have another collection in no time. Im warning you though, once you get back into Lego, theres no return. (No reason not too though.)
February 17, 201213 yr Congratulations on your renewed interest! A lot has changed in 22 years so there is a lot of exciting things to learn and discover. I would recommend to take your time with rebuilding your collection. It is very tempting to go out and buy everything that catches your eye but the company has grown so much that you can become overwhelmed by all of the choices. Explore all of the forums and you might be surprised by what themes you like. If you don't rush, you will have a lot more fun with building your collection.
